I love this movie, it's so much better then part 2 IMO

Calm down bro, you're the one who said it was just Sunlight who didn't like it, granted it was just a little tease, but that's why Sunlight replied with the rating which shows that it wasn't just one person who didn't like it.

Spiderman 3, Shrek 3, any major Chinese film made after the release of Hero, any teen movie that are filled with American high school stereotypes, and basically, any movie that runs over three hours long. All the Shrek movies, Disney sequels, all American Pie movies, and Live Free or Die Hard. I find some of them pointless and stupid or overused of recycled ideas, and they were made to get your money rather than to add value to entertainment.

LOTR is an exception.

you can't really go wrong with LOTR since it essentially is 1 big story chopped into 3. Usually the ending would be the best part of any story.
Plus the story was written over 50 years before the movie was made and is known to one of the best works of modern literature.

The same can't be applied to those comic book adaptations though because each arc is as good as any other where as LOTR is just 1 big arc with the best part at the end.

What do you mean by that? It was clear from the Hollywood producers that "The Lake House" was a remake, there was never any doubt about that. In the movie, one restaurant was named "Il Mare", a subtle blink to the original. Read any reviews on "The Lake House" and "Il Mare" is mentioned. I don't know what credit you are talking about.
