Most here probably have not heard of this movie or get to watch it. I'm gonna start this thread anyway. The director is a famous artist in mainland china, he died during film production and his hk film director friend took over. Last month, the music box finally opened in china with generally good reviews.

The story is about the life of a shanghai hairdresser during the tumultuous era of the japanese invasion and civil war that followed. And the woman he loved.
