I just watched Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief at the cinemas today.
It's not bad, although the pace of the movie was a tad slow.
Not as good as Harry Potter despite having Christopher Columbus as it's director.

72 Tenants of Prosperity. It's better than I expected. Very funny and entertaining and actually has a proper story.

I finally watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I must say, I found them deserving of their awesome reputations. I was sad when it came to an end. The only thing I didn't like is the character Frodo, starting from the 2nd movie. I found him mostly useless and irritating. Every time he appeared in the 2nd and 3rd movies, it was the same thing: "Oh, the ring is too powerful for me, I don't know if I can hold on... oh, my eyes are getting bigger, I feel like vomiting, can't breath... oh, I'm fine, thanks Sam." The repetition reminds me of daytime soap opera.

Fast and Furious:Tokyo Drift and Monty Python's the Holy Grail.Tokyo Drift was definitely well done by director Justin Lin.It does makes you feel like your in the movie,in which he wanted to accomplished.Which he did from chase scene's to crashes, etc. Hannible Rising and The Empress and the Warrior. Now it makes sense on why Hannible Lector became who he is?

    Volver - muy excelente!

The ending didn't quite feel like "the end", though. Wish there was more.

Gabriel. Angels and demons duking it out with guns and knives. Pretty interesting movie filmed with a shoe string budget.

Not only that, but Frodo is kinda stupid too. When Golum warned not to look at the water, what does Frodo do right after? He looks at the water. One of the most annoying characters in the history of movies. There are many things I don't like about LOTR but Frodo is the one thing I dislike the most about the trilogy.

Funny Games (the original, not the remake) - a very weird, disturbing, but interesting psychological horror thriller. The characters were all portrayed to perfection and the ending certainly completed the circle of terror. It was so good to see Ulrich Mühe in here, as I was surprised and saddened to learn that he is no longer with us - a talented actor gone too soon.

PJ, Canuck21: The movie version of Frodo is kind of annoying. There's much more depth and logic to the original character.

Just watched Shutter Island, good psychological thriller, there were a few random disturbing scenes, but the big twist wasn't too surprising.

    Alice in Wonderland

Many critics say it lacks depth and emotion, particularly in comparison with Burton's earlier works, which I agree.

But I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. Loved, loved, loved the Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter! There's also less of a dark, gothic element in this one, which may or may not be a good thing depending on your taste.

Very cute coming of age movie to see with your younger brother/sister.
