All I can say is OMG! What are they doing to CLX? I always thought Richie Ren's adaptation is the worst. Now there's serious competition for that distinction.

Yeah, I never could imagine any other adaptation topping RR’s version as the worst. Serious competition indeed. In my book, just for extreme bad clothes and hair, major points are being deducted. What are left: the plot, acting, and fighting choreography.

They're perfect examples of what NOT to wear! Total fashion disasters! Even the guy in the brown cloak looks better than all of them. In fact aside from Ken and benny chan, all the other male cast look good. What in the world is that guy in the last picture wearing? It looks very feminine.

You know what this whole series reminds me, not the Richie Ren version but you know that other Gu Long adaptation gone wrong? The Luk Siu Fung adaptation with Jimmy Lin, Christopher Li and co. They all wore what look like Japanese kimonos and robes. That adaptation was weird too. And Jimmy didn't even wear a wig, he had a spikey hairdo.

Wait you guys, watch this series become a flop. The only crowd this series will bring are the teen-idolizers who blindly accept anything as long as their idols are in it. Nothing else matters. Quality of acting, costumes, fighting, storyline/plot and music, all thrown out the window at the first sight of their great idols being in a series.

Ken Zhu looks like some girly Samurai. And is that girl in the 2nd last pic with the straw hat SFF? It looks like her and i heard she's acting as Hong Xiu in here

Heard Xiao Qiang's also guest-starring in here and she'll film her parts in August.

I'm more disappointed with CLX having a romantic relationship with Li Hong Xiu. One of the reason why LXH was so cool in Chor Lau Heung 2000 (Richie version) was because she did not fall in love with CLX like the countless other pretty girls. Instead she fell for Xue Chang Kong. LHX in Adam Cheng's version was also pretty cool. A walking wulin encyclopedia with a sense of humour. But here, LHX will be like countless other girls in the series.

Agreed! I loved Cheung Sai's LHX in CLX2000. She was really cool, smart, composed and all and it was nice to see her not fall for CLX but the assassin guy who made a pretty sweet couple with her I hope they dont go and make LHX into a silly bimbo, CLX-worshipping character in here, especially when it's played by the gorgeous SFF!

And I thought Wong Jing's production was bad Why oh why do the recent series have such crappy costumes, hair and makeup? Is it really so difficult to make these actors/actresses look presentable in ancient attire? My goodness, it looks like they ran out of money for the budget or something. Why don’t they put everyone in brown rice bags then? It can’t be worse. What atrocity is SFF wearing? Nevermind, I’m speechless…

I refuse to acknowledge Jimmy's version ever existed. It felt like I was in the Twilight Zone watching it. A disaster that never should have been filmed.

Any hope I have for this series is thrown out the window now. Unless by some miracle the acting and plot turn out to be fantastic (highly, highly doubtful), I am most likely not going to watch it.

i don't know... the costumes and hair don't give me any confidence in this series at all! I mean, Ken as CLX was already IMO a terrible choice, and now the the costumes and hair...
