Both Xuzhu and Duan Yu learned powerful martial arts by accident or got them unknowingly.

By comparing both XZ and DY's incidents in which they met powerful characters and learn powerful martial arts by accident, who was the more luckier fella - Xuzhu or Duan Yu?

I'd say Xu Zhu because just by randomly placing some wei qi pieces he got someone's 70 years of inner energy cultivation transmitted into himself. But Duan Yu has the classic Wuxia come-to-power cliche by falling off a cliff and finding some long-lost secret martial arts scroll. Overall though I'd say Xu Zhu is luckier.

Actually, I think Duan Yu is luckier if you see it from his whole life compared to Xuzhu. From his young ages, he is being surrounded by riches and his family love although there is some problem with his father and mother. It is like he have whatever a person wants and have not really suffer any hardship at all. I believe everyone will like the life of Duan Yu compare to Xuzhu.

Duan Yu for sure. He might not be the one with highest internal energy ever, but he could easily suck his way up there. Also, at least he's pretty enough not to feel embarassed whenever he stood in front of a mirror. Then there's the whole being prince and heir to the throne since birth thing...

I think Duan Yu was lucky. Seriously, he swallowed a freaking centipede and the most poisonous toad in the world, and then instead of dying he became immune to poison. U gotta be pretty lucky to do that!!
