Which in your opinion is the most powerful Shaolin martial arts?
Yijin Jing (featured prominently in DGSD, XAJH)
Shaolin 72 Supreme Arts (featured almost in most novels)
Luohan Fumuo Shengong (featured exclusively in OTG)

i guess YJJ would be the best since it will give you internal better than 9yang/ying and since it's virtually impossible for one single person to master all the 72 supreme arts of shaolin.
They are all equal at their highest levels.
At ultimate levels Yijinjing = shaolin 72 arts = stage where you abandon DG9J = Zen
To say "at its highest level" is perhaps making martial arts too rigid. After all the practioner keeps advancing and advancing until he is dead, so I'm not even sure if there is such a thing as "the highest level." Anyway, it can be a bit tricky.
Back to the topic, Yijinjing should be more powerful than any individual 72 arts, if you actually grasp that art. YJJ proved much harder to learn for the "normal" person, whereas the 72 arts can be easily powered by a powerful energy type./
Where ADTA fits in the picture, perhaps Laviathan can share some thoughts.

I thought the 72 arts also built internal energy? Demon Subduing Arts should be where Xiao Feng derives his inner power.
Once you master Yi Jin Jing you don't need any other martial arts. FTW.
Sure you do. You Tanzhi had practiced Yi Jinjing and was being owned by Xiao Feng until Morong Fu jumped in with his better external arts.Originally Posted by K2Grey
Well, he didn't master it.
Then again, I wonder exactly what kind of basis Murong Bo had when he claimed that (YJJ being standalone).
I believed the 3rd edition changed the internal cultivation of YTZ from YiJinJing to Shen Hua Jin, can't remember for sure.Originally Posted by Dennis Chen
Ah Zhu once said to XF that MRB once said to her that the 72 arts are strong, but no t enough for Shaolin to rule over the jianghu world. What it really relies on is YJJ. So from this, I presume that MRB is practically saying that YJJ>72 Arts. As for Luo Han Fu Mui Shen Gong, no mention of it in any book other than Ode of Gallantary (at least I think so).
To have full mastery of 72 Supreme arts is too damn hard. Let me see.... Kong Zhi in HSDS successfully learned 11 supreme arts. JY said that the Xuan generation each learned approx 5/6 Supreme Arts which gives me the impression that Du Generation also learned about the same amount. Kong zhi once said that no monk has learned more than 12 Supreme Arts. However, the curious thing is that in TLBB, JY once said that there was a genius monk that once learned 13 Supreme Arts, the most ever. The point is that 13 is a far way from 72.

Ups, I used the wrong one, I meant Luo Han Fu Muo Shen Gong. XF knew Demon Subdueing Palm which is 1 of 72 supreme art.Originally Posted by Dennis Chen
I don't know about DGSD, but YJJ was clearly the best of Shaolin in XAJH.
Didn't people already mentioned in countless threads that YJJ owns even the most divine arts like 9Yang and 9Yin?
First of all, do we classified YJJ as martial arts or only as internal energy like 9 Yang, there is no external arts/stances can be used for fighting except pure raw internal energy, CMIIW.
Second, if someone has highest level of YJJ, like janitor monk said, it need Buddha heart hence someone who has highest level of YJJ will not have any desire to fight and ther is no point to learn 72 shaolin martial arts or others
