    Default Bad Family

Na Rim is the youngest child of an affluent family. Na Rim and her family are about to go on a family trip when an employee from the family company shows up who has apparently done something wrong. He begs for forgiveness but Na Rim's grandfather refuses. The family leaves but the employee (CEO?) from the family company follows in his own car, leading to a car accident where everyone in the car with the exception of Na Rim dies. One of Na Rim's begins to suspect that the CEO of the company is responsible for the death of his family, but the only one alive to tell what happened is Na Rim, who has amnesia. In order to try and get her memory back, one of her uncles hires Oh Dal Gun to create a family for Na Rim on the recommendation that if Na Rim is happy then the chances of her getting her memory back are higher.

Oh Dal Gun has a large debt and in order to repay this debt he has established a company that provides fake families for people in need. Basically actors are hired to play the parts of family members for events such as weddings. Kim Yang Ah is an orphan with 3 younger brothers and makes a living as a fisherwoman. Although cute, she has a temper. By chance she ends up meeting Dal Gun while he is being chased by the men he owes a debt to. Even though Yang Ah helped Dal Gun escape, they eventually find him and beat him to a bloodly pulp, and end up accidentally setting Yang Ah's boat on fire. Yang Ah returns to find her boat in tatters.

Jang Hang Gu, Park Bok Nyu, and Um Ji Sook all owe debts to the man that Dal Gun works for. In order to pay their debts Dal Gun's coerces them to work for him. Hang Gu is a dance instructor, Bok Nyu sells potstickers for a living and Ji Sook sells coffee for a living. Bok Nyu and Ji Sook really dislike each other and bicker all the time. Gi Dong works for a debt collection agency. Gong Min appears to be a homeless youth that Dal Gun finds on the streets, but is fact from a very rich family. Having moved out from his family home, he works at a salon as a shampoo boy.

With the majority of the family in place, Dal Gun goes to find the person to play the part of Na Rim's sister. He decides on a girl that happens to be Yang Ah's friend, who resists Dal Gun. Yang Ah realizes who Dal Gun is and goes after him. Although not originally chosen to be the sister, since Na Rim has already met Yang Ah and has been told that she is her sister, Dal Gun has to take a long time to convince Yang Ah to play the role.

Yang Ah also happens to meet Ha Tae Kyung when he knocks over her squid stand. They end up getting into an altercation that results in Yang Ah dumping a bunch of raw squid into his car. They later meet again as well when she is playing the role of Na Rim's sister.

Anyone seen this series? I don't see a thread on it, so I made this one. Does anyone know the cast for this series? Ha Tae Kyung looks like a young Won Bin, to me at least. This looks like a fun drama.

I laughed at the beginning of the episodes but then sometimes it gets boring with the same stuff. Although Park Jin-Woo is cute .

That blonde guy Gong Min, he looks like he just stepped out of a japanese manga. Ha!

The little kids in here are so cute, Na Rim and Yang Ah's three younger brothers are so cute. That youngest brother, he's only 9 but he talks like a older person, chasing after Na Rim , kids these days, i wonder where they learn it from. So cute.

Oh no wonder they're so familiar. But then who is Oh Dal Gun and Kim Yang Ah? and Gong Min? I wonder how old the actor who plays Oh Dal Gun really is because he looks very fit.

Oh Dal-gun is acted by Kim Myung-min. He's 34 years old this year! He was the lead actor in the KBS1 epic drama The Immortal Lee Soon-shin before this and had won the Actor of the Year award at the 2005 KBS Awards for his role there

Kim Yang-ah is acted by Nam Sang-mi, she was the lead actress in the MBC drama Sweet Spy before this

Gong Min is acted by Kim Hee-chul, a member of the 13-member K-pop boy band, Super Junior

What you can watch it on youtube? I've been watching it on aznv.tv with some occasional buffering of the winamp player...really annoying.

    Default So entertaining...

This is really a surprisingly entertaining series. I was giggling to myself many times for many episodes. I thought the gangster/cute kids approach was very much like great inheritance which I could'nt go beyond the 2nd episode (may be the girl who played Shin Bi in Dae jang geum was such a bad actor). Kim Jae Won was quite hilarious in the early episodes of Wonderful life, but not in GI.

Suddenly bad family came up with this bunch of people whom I would describe as embarassments. They are really misfits...vulgar grandma (lady Jung from Jiitp) right to the head over heels in love rich girl. Punky kid dating an older girl, Chaegyung's father as emotional as ever....oh I really enjoyed watching this. ...and best of all happy ending for almost every one.

I'd give this series a 3/5 rating. Partly because the ending felt sorta rushed.

I love the kids in here they're so cute! Yang Sam is so cute! He likes Na Rim and goes to court her and haha I'm like you're only a kid what do you know about courting a girl? Haha tooo cute!

lolz you'd be surprised at how creative kids can be. the wedding scene was so funny, Narim's like, "I have too many weird family members as it is, why would I want to include you in it?"

    >_< and I like heechul as the oppa. he does some funny dancing.

overall I didn't think it was excellent either, but it was pretty refeshing.

Bella: the girl in GI/Dae Jang Geum, she's also in Resurrection right? Her role in Resurrection was *yawn* and when they give her a different role, she overacted. It's that whole "My Girl" sillyness all over again. I wish actresses can be more subtle with their comedic acts.

I have'nt watched resurrection, just finished zipping through snow white. the DJG actress is pretty and could have got away with many things, but her acting was at best mundane to me. I'd give bad family 4.5/5 just because it manages to amuse me and hold my attention even without any glamourous stuff. All of the characters are offbeat and mostly working class. It's good that the gangster hero got a happy ending, maybe for doing good deeds.

i've finished this drama and i like it because its not the usual korean drama about lovers but its more on having a real family even though theres no blood relationship.
