In LOCH '82, the effect of 9 Yum White Bone Claws was depicted rather dramatically: in its first use in the series, Mui Chiu Fung was able to instantenously disintegrate the flesh of a victim using 9 Yum White Bone Claws, reducing the victim to skeletal remains before the corpse even collapsed on the ground.

Needless to say, that's not how the 9 Yum White Bone Claws actually work; nothing in Jin Yong's universe is *that* powerful.

So what does really happen to 9 Yum White Bone Claws victims? Crushed/penetrated skulls only, or is there more?

I'm pretty sure it's just like any other claw skill, except that it has a wicked piercing effect and is somewhat difficult to get ahold of or understand.

9yin bone claws were an unorthodox derived version of 9yin divine claws. due to a misunderstanding, MCF and CXF thought that attacking the enemies head meant the actual head. it actually meant the vital points. so they practise this skill in an external manner, focusing on penetrating the skull. it's comparable to shaolin's golden fingers skill in penetrating power. the twin killers also used poison under their finger tips.
