Did Sing Kwun get nerfed by the injuries he sustained fighting Cheung Mo Gei at Gwong Ming Peak and fighting Beggar's Union Chief Shih For Lung, or do you mean after he lost his eyesight and his martial arts completely at Tse Tsun's hands?

Yeah even before he lost his sight he is a bit "weaker" than he 2 years ago during Ming's Assault..

Cheng Kun is rarely practice and fighting even mediocre wulin fighters, too busy for his failed dirty scheme and wasting too much time hiding.

A little bit similar with Mu Rong Fu

Not necessary true Cheng Kun almost "annihilated" Ming Cult's finest fighters singlehandedly if Wuji didn't interfere while Murong Fu he could hold his own against Duan Yu's deadly LMSJ which even Xiao Feng admit is not easy for him to handle it..

Cheng Kun may have more of a chance against MRF if this video is accurate.

Yeah, Cheng Kun beaten bat king in HSDS 2019, but in most other adaptation ( i don't know in the novel), he took advantage of fool Ming Cult leader injured theirselves against Yang Xiao. and beat Fan Yao with some psychological tricks.

MRF has his famous name larger than his skills, he couldn't even learn any of 72 martial art shaolin due to lack of internal qi. He just took advantage of a lot of skills from his aunt's libarary, and didn't focused on any special skills.

Murong Fu has so much combat experience against elite opponents like Xiao Feng and sinister types of dangers like Ding Chunqiu,

and even defeated 6MSJ after he displayed nerves of steel and used the broken sword shards as projectiles to cower Duan Yu, after which he had his foot on Duan Yu's throat and could have killed him right there.

Even though Cheng Kun has better internal power, I don't think he can land the first hit against Murong Fu. Without his Huayin Finger cold energy, Cheng Kun has ZERO chance. With it, I would say Murong Fu with his myriad of good techniques, solid defense AND his trademark family Star Shifting move, has more than enough aces up his sleeves to surprise and wound Cheng Kun first, after which Cheng Kun would flee.

They are too close in skill that I don't think Murong Fu can outright kill him, especially considering how cautious and shrewd Cheng Kun is.

However, IF Murong Fu has Cheng Kun's patience and scheming ability, then he could revive his Yan Kingdom. Cheng Kun is one of the most powerful characters if you include his excellence in the art of intrigue, he could play a king maker or the grey eminence behind the throne.

They could probably work together, at least I think Cheng Kun would be first to make the proposal. Murong Fu would be eager to be the face leading orthodox heroes against the "devil" cult, playing into Cheng Kun's hands.

Oh and I would like to add that, thinking back to the Shaoling assembly of heroes, the onlookers there really judged Murong Fu harshly and almost embarrassed him in committing suicide.

Sure, he lost to Xiao Feng (who was clearly better as he could hold his own 1 vs 3) BUT Murong Fu held a great win against Duan Yu, and a one against two win against Duan Zhengcun (of Yiyang Zhi fame!) and Crocodile of the South Seas, both of which are his elders

And he still displayed great skills overall, especially for his age.

And most importantly, how can people look down on Murong Fu's skills, when in the assembly, only the best Xuan generation monks, Ding Chunqiu and a few others can actually rival him in a fight?

I thought it was very unfair to Murong Fu. It's more than Xiao Feng overperformed for his reputation than Murong Fu underperformed. And Murong never boasted that he was the best fighter or anything before this.

Logically speaking, with all the feats Xiao Feng accomplished even BEFORE being given the position of Beggar Chief (because his teacher harbored doubts about his heritage), his reputation would be much higher than Murong Fu based on accomplishments.

So anyone who knows what's up in Wulin in the past 30 years (since Murong Bo vanished) that North Qiao Feng's accomplishments are unmatched.

This raises another question... how much time exactly did Murong Fu spend with his dad? Murong Fu is in his late twenties, almost thirty but not quite. Murong Bo disappeared for 30 years... so Murong Fu probably never even spoke to him as a child.
