Default The Legend of Lui 4 Leung - what can you tell me?

About twenty years ago, I watched a little-remembered TVB series starring Carol "Dodo" Cheng, Simon Yam, Ray Lui (as Emperor Yong Jeng of the Qing Dynasty), and Austin Wai. It was a fairly entertaining series, although one that isn't well remembered today, and it centered around the adventures of the Qing Dynasty wuxia heroine Lui 4 Leung.

Apparently, this character comes from a bonafide wuxia novel (not written by Jin Yong or Gu Long). The TVB series likely took all kinds of liberties with it. What more can anybody tell me about the legend of Lui 4 Leung?

Also about 20 years ago, i saw a series starring dodo cheng about lui4leung but the king was acted by alex man and michelle meisuet as 4leung. also in action was david chiang as changcheng or (zhenjeng??)

anyway, i think she was one of the many who tried to assasinate the emperor, it must be the political thingy in the series, michelle managed to kill him after she and him.... ah, . well, never mind. i supposed the liberties you mentioned would be something like 4leung and emperor have an affair, then borne him a child, etc etc....

Yes, I remember the series. There was also Austin Wai Teen Chi as Lui 4 Leung's love interest, although she was actually in love with Simon Yam's character who was the son of Bao Fong's character (Leen Gung Yiu?).

I do remember that the Shaolin Yik Gun Ging fell into Simon Yam's hands towards the end of the series. He used it to secretly heal Austin Wai's character in his sleep, after he had suffered internal injury at the hands of a Tibetan Lama I believe.

I don't know the real story of Lui 4 Leung, sorry.

The Hitman Chronicles by TVB1995 also featured a story on Lu Si Niang, she beheaded the Emperor in the end and disappeared after that and they had to replace his head with a golden replica.

From Googling, I found this website: http://www.wumeigongfu.com/gungfoo24.swf

It mentioned that Wu Mei is the Buddhist name of the former Lu Si Niang and the founder of Wu Mei school. Under History and Lineage and Founder of Wu Mei, the page mentions some oral traditions about it's founder and what legends are told about Lu Si Niang.

I'm not sure which other wuxia novel features Lu Siniang except for Liang Yusheng's.

Lu Siniang was heavily featured in 'Jianghu San Nuxia' ('The Three Heroines'). In the novel she's the last, and only female disciple of the One-armed Nun. No prizes for having the correct guess on who the nun is.

Lu Siniang was one of the three heroines (read title), and the most powerful. In fact she's one of the best swordswoman around and only the most powerful pugilists would be able to defeat her. Otherwise a complete round-up is a good idea too, although it's something only the bad guys would do.

Yongzheng made an enemy out of Lu Siniang seriously when he had her family rounded up and executed. Her ancestors' graves were dug and the remains desecrated to punish the family for anti-Manchu movements. Lu Siniang was the only Lu family member left and she had sworn vengence on Yongzheng since.

After years, she managed to sneak into the palace along with the other two heroines Feng Ying and Feng Lin (who were twin sisters). With their assistance, Lu Siniang took off Yongzheng's head. After that, she married her long-time sweetheart who's also her father's student and became the leader of her sect -- Mangshan.
