It is at Harbourfront. It was Singapore's 1st coal power station, but had been since converted into a building of pubs, clubs, etc.

st james power station. where's this place? u mean an electric power station??
The way they conduct those polls is really ambiguous. They don't show the amount of votes or the criteria for getting into the top 10 selection. We don't even know who the judges are. Who knows, they probably give whoever they wanted to promote the awards. After all, it's a local awards ceremony conducted by a company for it's employees.

I agree. damn auditors are probably lying anyway. After all the bosses pay the auditors their fees.

I thought the show was OK. Most people spoke sincerely.

I didn't think Huang Yiliang meant to embarass his ex-wife, but he just wasn't good with words and made explanations worse. He was also too obstinate and perhaps self-righteous to heed the advice of others to keep himself silent. I believe he wished his ex-wife well and hoped she could get an award.

No, I think he ran out of time. I saw that clip on youtube, and Guo Liang was practically telling him "time's up".

I managed to watch the Nick Cheung part finally. He's so FUNNY. Like when he started singing in the middle of Qi Yu Wu's super long and monotonous speech. and he keeps being nosy.

I see. Yeah, he's a time waster. Should give him a yellow card for time-wasting.

I only saw those I found on youtube. Type "Star Awards 06". Will they be showing a repeat telecast?

When that Qi Yiwu was giving his thank-you speech, a woman's voice can be heard in the background. What the heck, they didn't off the mic?

Do u all think MC would actually refrain from giving Huang Yiliang awards in future to prevent such inappropriate & embarassing moments ... knowing how particular the local media is about such stuff

But on the other hand, they may actually be counting him to create this kinda of controversial moments for the otherwise monoteneous awards

I can't believe it that Yvonne Lim didn't get into the top 10. I thought her acting had been good in all the drama series she had acted in.

They are already used to the snubbing.

Yeah well, anyone can be out of favour anytime. Remember what happened to Jacelyn Tay?

i know i'm a bit late..can't help it mah..i'm very ci dun..anyways..so sad..i missed the top ten male artistes portion..the last bit of the show..they don't even have the full video for that set of awards..sigh...and i so wanted to see xuan xuan with her funny partner ^^;; I saw one bit on youtube about christopher lee..and the guy asked in an deceptively innocent tone that got me all cracked up: " Ta zuo guo shen me?"
