I know, I am surprised too.. But it's just that I don't have time to sit there and watch series all day. I always have something to do even though I am on X'mas break. I am hoping to finish it before I start school again or else I really won't finish. Plus, my eyes would hurt as well..

i woke up this morning and saw this great news. Baidu, the largest search engine in China, had an award ceremony for 30 awards on Jan 12, 2008 in Shanghai. There are awards for

Most popular Taiwan and HK TV series, etc.
The award is given to the actor/actress/movie/series/group with the most searches. it's a popularity contest.

AND MY LUCKY STAR beat Hana Kimi, Romantic Princess, and the 2 very most popular TVB series 《金枝欲孽》、《溏心风暴》 to win the award. Mind you, this is among ALL HK/Taiwan series of 2007, not just idol series.

More than 100 celebs attended the award. don't know if jimmy was there because the news just came out about 2 hrs ago. Hope there will be more interviews and news of this. I finally found the video of the Baidu award show. Leon Jay Williams accepted the Most Popular Taiwan/HK series of 2007 Award on behalf of My Lucky Star. I ul'ed the video to youtube.

It has no subtitles and i listened to it more than 10 times. i think i got most of what he said. I am really disappointed at our Tian Jun Ge. Most ppl would thank the production crew, the director, their fellow actors, etc. but he thanked just his fans and the ppl around him who helped him. then he said his mandarin is not good b/c it's not his mother tongue. He didn't say a single word about anyone else who is involved with the production of MLS as if this is his own personal award.

The ironic thing is they showed a short clip of MLS and it showed only jimmy and Hana, no Williams. haha. i still don't uderstand why they didn't get jimmy to accept the award. he's the male lead, not Williams.

Jimmy Lin was born with a babyface but his passion is speed. Besides his love of racing he is now learning to operate a yacht and planning to get a license.

My Lucky Star, the SETTV idol series that Jimmy starred in will air on Japan So-net in September. So-net sent a team to Taiwan to interview him. Jimmy spoke in Japanese and recommended some local dishes for the Japanese audience. He spoke Japanese fluently and the interviewer thought that he learned the language before. But Jimmy said, “I used Romanized pinyin to memorize. I spent a lot of time memorizing it.”

Jimmy owns a racing team. He won 1st place in a race last month. He said he love to control steeling wheels. He can control cars. He wants to be able to control ships. He wants to film a movie about racing in order to show off his excellent driving skills.

i'm not much of a korean series fan, but this MLS has a lot of korean's influence, packed with great soundtracks, heartwrenching moments and all those speed and of course the handsome jimmy lin, it's just irresistible!!
the plot's good too!! u'r never bored with each episode, always something new and exciting comes up... it deserves more awards, definitely!!
i got the cds and had finished watching it the second time, and still cried at the sad moments... and oh, i even burnt them down into dvds as backup (hehe, yeah, yeah, hopelessly in love)... i went to buy its soundtracks, and they are amazing... the songs and the instrumentals...
one of the best series so far, and that includes those from hollywood!
