I'm watching Hotaru no Hikari season 2. I've got to say seeing Naohito Fujiki in doramas and him singing on stage is so different. He seems youthful on stage and lively.

I'm watching Joker Yurusarezaru Sosakan and Hotaru no Hikari 2 this season. Joker is a dark detective drama with comedic elements. Hopefully Date is a role that will allow Sakai-san to showcase his impressive range as an actor. Nishikido Ryo seems to actually be playing a different sort of character for a change. I've really missed Hotaru and Busho! Their interactions are just too cute and funny.

I thought I read somewhere on this thread that someone watched Real Clothes? Seen like 4 eps...already know where this is going. Anyone know what happened at the end? There's an SP for it?

Nevermind. I did some forwarding to the end ep. It's okay, though I can't see how a girl can't have both love and career. I like the outfits. I wish Karina would put her hair up more often.

I'm starting on Mother at the moment. I love it! I love Tsugumi-chan, she's just awesome and so cute. remind me of Shizuku in Bara no nai Hanaya. and Tanaka Yuko is there too!!! I never seen her anywhere except Oshin, so I feel so good seeing her here.

@Suet Seung: the fashion tips is the main reason me watching it. Although I'm very happy seeing Nishijima Hidetoshi after long time no see him (Ordinary People).

Just started on Hotaru no Hikari. Very funny, Ayase Haruka really cracks me up, though not really liking Fujiki's hairstyle here - prefer his Love Revolution look!

Finally finished Mother last night. I was so depressed watching it especially up to episode 8, I have to stop for a day before continue watching it.

I like the fact that the series was trying to judge people with their circumstances, decision they make and what consequences that come with that decision. I also like Ashida Mana that were cast as Reina/Tsugumi, she's only 6 y.o. but brilliantly acted as 7-8 y.o. I love the production, story, casts, ending, story line and everything about it.

    Life is hard.

I finally finished Rinjo Season 1. thanks jade_frost I quite like it, especially after over the 1st episode. Finished them in 2 days, while I was sick I find the main lead is abit mangaish, but Watanabe Dai is good eye candy for me

Season 2 is pretty good too.

I'm also currently watching the following:

Kanryou tachi no Natsu - recommended
    Tobo Bengoshi - recommended
    Shukumei 1969-2010 - TBD

I could never get into Tsuki no Koibito. Other than the music, there's nothing appealing about the drama. I was definitely expecting more from Kimutaku.

Glad to know Rinjo is being well received!

I've not watched much in weeks which is probably a rare thing but I can't get myself started on any of the summer dramas going by the synopsis. And as much as I love watching Amami Yuki, I'm not even attempting Gold.

I'm trying to clear my spring backlog. Pandora 2 and Chase. I don't know why Pandora 2 seems to have fizzled despite the success of Pandora. Perhaps it's the familiarity of the story arch, a pacing that could be tighter, and the lack of characters to identify with ... maybe even the casting.

I picked up Sleeping Forest last week but slowly watching it since it's too dark and heavy for me.

current season I'm watching Unubore Deka, Natsu Niji, Joker and just starting on GOLD.

I love Unubore Deka, seriously remind me of T&D and IWGP, it's another Kudo Kankuro masterpiece. despite the over-actingness (lol such word?) of Nagase and Toma and Kaname Jun (Actually almost everyone are overacting), I love the story and the recurring used of the actors from his past work. I can enjoy Natsu Niji better if Taiko was played by someone else

    yay for japanese drama! d^o^b

Naohito Fujiki has an OLDER twin brother? Is this true? I did not know. Must be nice. I wonder what he does.

currently watching Hotaru no Hikari season 2 and I really like this new season! can't wait for the next episodes!

also watching Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge and its sooo cute and funny, but I think I prefer the anime over the live action adaptation though.

Yes, that's definitely true. Very pleasant surprise right, since God does not create such phenomenom often.

I forgot what he does though.

I watched and finished the Liar Game series and movie. It's quite interesting, but I find the logic behind Akiyama's reasoning and explanations hard to follow sometimes. I feel there are loopholes, though I cannot pinpoint any.

I'm watching Atsu-hime on DVD, up to episode 8 now...

The costumes are beautiful! Especially the formal kimonos that Atsu-hime wears...

I enjoy the movie as well, it's a good closure for the story. I like it since Nao and Akiyama seems to have a future together... although the last scene [after the credit I think] doesn't seems like the end up together.

I'm still catching up with last season drama like Tobo Bengoshi, GM Odore and Zettai Reido... been too busy lately.
