Two icons of Chinese pop culture, comedian Stephen Chow and martial arts novelist Louis Cha (Jin Yong), may make a move together. Apple Daily said Chow, 44, organised a dinner on Monday for his hero, Cha, 82, at the members-only Shanghai Fraternity Association in Central in Hong Kong. Over them meal, the actor-director presented Cha with a draft of a new script for a kungfu movie, said the report. Stephen Chow said if Louis Cha liked it, he could consider co-writing the film with him. The report said Stephen Chow hand plans for a movie incorporating many characters from Cha's books, including tragic hero Qiao Feng and his sworn brother Xuzhu from Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils and lovers Guo Jing and Huang Rong from The Legend of The Condor Heroes.

But if its Stephen Chow its going to be slapstick... Unless he makes a serious movie for once.

Stephen Chow has shown more appreciation of Jin Yong's martial arts over the years than many realises.

Many of his movies have techniques/moves that are originally used in Jin Yong's novels. His last movie, the Kung Fu Hustle have YG/XLN, Ha Mo Gong, and refrences to 9 Yin, 9 Yang, YYZ, HL18Palm etc.

Obviously, it may be hard to see Stephen Chow doing a serious movie for once.

Also taichi, music as weaponry, lions roar, rulai divine palm (is this JY?), DG9J. I think it will be interest. Even though his movies are laughs rather than logical facts, it will still be a good enjoyment.

I'm guessing that this is a sequel or something like that to kungfu hustle where many of JY protagonists/antagonist making an appearance or even involve in the main plot. That should be interesting....
