Here is the first a cappella division.

Please keep in mind that many of the contestants are entering for fun, and very few would have any vocal training. We criticise people like Liu Yi Fei for being a bad singer because you expect better after a year of vocal training, but the contestants here are just entering for fun. Please don't post comments like "she's so off tune, even I could do better. She must be tone deaf." Please be nice with your comments, especially those who were too chicken to enter themselves.

Well, pretty straightforward, the top 2 entries here will go to the final round. This means that they will then record a second clip.

Thank you to everyone that participated, I hope you all had fun. (Without you, this competition would not have been possible - i'm sounding like an oscar speech, so i'll stop now...)

How come only Sugar's entry is the only non-anonymous one lol?

On a side note, good stuff people! I'm gonna vote tomorrow though, too tired today to make a well-reasoned choice.

Some random comments:
1) Very high voice! I could never go that high so I'm kinda jealous haha, and I liked the improv =)

2) Don't know this song, but good articulation, I don't hear too much breathing, although it would've been better if the recording was more clear, but I understand since I have a crappy mic too.

3) Don't know this song either, and the recording's also a bit unclear, but good job at holding the notes! I usually go breathless after a while.

4) Good clear, strong, and steady voice!

5) Very high voice as well! Damn, how do you people reach those high notes so easily pah =P

6) Your voice reminds me a bit of Guang Liang lol, which is a good thing =D Is this a guang Liang song?

Btw, if people have time, could you post the originals? The only song I know is the first one and I have no idea what these songs are "supposed" to sound like.

im using wireless broadband, but the reception that i get is only 2G, not 3 Quite surprised that it didnt that too long to download the zip file....well, you cant hope for so much when youre on wireless, anyway.... so you on wired, or wireless?

Are we supposed to vote for only one, or two? You said top two moves on, but only can select one in the votes. So is it, one vote per person, and top two moves on? We are allowed only to vote for one person?
