Default Yeung Teet Sum/Gwok Siu Teen: first generation of two families to be friends?

As far as we know, the connection between the Yeung and Gwok families started with Yeung Teet Sum and Gwok Siu Teen in LOCH and continued at least as far as the era of HSDS, with Lady Yeung continuing to look after the affairs of the Ngor Mei Sect (Gwok Seung's legacy to wulin).

Did the shared history of the Yeung and Gwok families really begin with Yeung Teet Sum and Gwok Siu Teen, or had even their ancestors been close friends generations before LOCH? It would be somewhat interesting find out how Yeung Teet Sum and Gwok Siu Teen first hooked up and became sworn brothers.

Were Yeung and Gwok the same age? Who knows, if they were, maybe their parents had the same thing going on with their children. Maybe they had this tradition since who knows when?

Had Gwok Siu Teen or Yeung Teet Sum was a girl, maybe they would have married each other?

That is the mystery we're trying to get to the bottom of.

Gwok Siu Teen was definitely older than Yeung Teet Sum (Yeung Teet Sum referred to Gwok as "da gor"), just as Gwok Jing was older than Yeung Hong. It wasn't until the Yeung Gor/Gwok Fu generation that the Yeung was the older of the two.

Yes, because it was said that the Guos and Yangs had three generations of realtions in ROCH.
