which ancient series is the best?

I dont know....ive watched many good ancient series, but gotta say The Great General left a lasting impression....well, not that the other series dont, it's just that i can remember the thrill and excitement of waiting each episode to air very clearly. Everyone acted their part real good....i only wish i could find a dvd of it to collect and rewatch. of course

Mythical crane magical needle

Justice Pao series such as Legend of the Yang's Family. Out of all Justice Paos Jin Chao Qun is my favourite.

Agreed on ROCH, but HZGG is not really a classic/best, but rather it is a popular and big appeal series. Oh and have anyone see XAJH 2001(adaption of The Smiling, Proud Wanderer)? I actually prefer that one over the SOD 96..(and it's definitely better than SOD 2000 with Richie Ren...)
