Silly Yahoo Health, they didn't even list Godiva Extra Dark Chocolate Truffles! 72% cocoa. By the way, my birthday is coming up soon...Godiva truffles always make a great gift *nudges GuGu*

I knew a while ago that dark chocolate was good for you, which I guess is good since I never liked white chocolate (not even chocolate, bleh). However, when I read the articles about the benefits of consuming dark chocolate...then it said something about moderation and I lost interest. Everything in moderation, yes, except for Godiva Dark Chocolate Truffles!

Maybe they made it less spicy because they thought I couldn't take it lol...your fried fish looks a little funky though. Interesting. What fish was that?

honestly i have no idea, but that isnt the exact pic of it, i just found it on google that resembles the 1 i ate. it did taste funky tho, not really the fried taste that i expected, and the steamed taste either, but it was overall ok.

Some thoughtful discussion questions (from my previous thread, so these probably have been answered)...

    - What are your favourite foods?
Shark fin soup, Lobsters, king crab, crab, ect...
    - What countries have the best cuisine?
Canada, USA, ect. Canada has almost everything. I think USA does too.
    - What foods are absolutely disgusting?
Toad, fishes that eat human shit, cat, ect....
    - Are you good at cooking? (No) Do you follow the recipe or do you prefer adjusting your cooking to your personal preferences?
Just cook the way I want to eat. The easy way
    - Can you crack an egg with one hand? (I need to learn to do that sometime)
Don't like egg much, rarely cook any
    - How are people ever anorexic when food tastes so good?
Don't know. For me, life is short, it is ok to getting a little chubby
    - Why is food an important part of you?
Need them for survival, also very enjoying. Especially shark fin soup and lobsters

    Also feel free to share...
    - Any recipes (please do share!! I was waiting on a certain curry recipe, I believe )
Steam live atlantic lobster, it taste so good especially the female one. They mostly have eggs...
    - Cooking tips (for people like Sparky who love food but suck at cooking)
    - Instructions on how to crack an egg with one hand
    - Pictures of any particularly delicious foods -- however, do WRITE something to supplement your pictures so they don't get counted as spam
    - Any particularly good/bad restaurants
    - Any nutritional info regarding food, eating schedules, etc.
    - Any cultural experiences regarding food -- good and bad
    - Arguments as to why food is not academic -- so Sparky can rebutt them

Enjoy your food discussion and try to avoid spamming (as much as possible)

OMG, that looks so good! I can eat this everyday!

I'd prefer wild salmon (fresh out of the sea) than farm salmon. The quality between them is distinguishable. The fat in wild salmon contains higher omega-3 fatty acids than in farm salmon, and is linked to reduce the risk of diseases such as, Alzheimer, heart attacks, arthritis, headaches, and cramps (which is excellent for women during menstrual cycle).

    Speaking from experience?

But I don't wish food poisoning on anyone! It's the most uncomfortable and horrendous feeling in the world.

If my salmon is expensive, does that mean it's wild? Darn it, I never check these things! Thanks for the info though, bella dear - now I know why I've never gotten menstural cramps. I eat eggs (omega 3, right?) practically every day!

Why did you eat KANGAROO? That has "will make you sick" written all over it! If I ate kangaroo I'd picture Kanga and Roo from Winnie the Pooh haunting me in my dreams...

has this thread really veered off topic? considering every post has either a mention of food, a picture of food, something about food poisoning, or the word "eat"? i would think those all fall under the food topic umbrella.

i've always said food is not an academia topic. Perhaps Han Solo is reconsidering my original view

this is my favourite seafood dish whenever i go to this seafood restaurant.
Lobster sashimi - its a 2 course dish. the first is the sashimi itself, and the second you can have it deep fried with salt and pepper, or stir fried with ginger and shallot. the presentation is quite impressive. the white gas you see is dry ice melting underneath the top plate.

it's really jarring when people post up pics of yummy food, then someone talks about their explosive diarrhea, and then another pic of yummy food, then more skid marks, etc.
