Then to play it safe, start saving important things such as pictures and stuff onto cds or something. So if there really is a virus, then you could just reboot your pc with your recovery disc if the virus is that bad.

aim virus? cant be anything that serious right ? just add me to ur buddy list and tell me a/s/l and it'll be fix... hahahaha j/k ok ok im serious now, first norton is really unreliable, so try to dl something like spy bot or search and destroy, those programs will locate the virus for u and supposedly delete it for u, but from my experience it never deletes it. once u located the virus, if it is in ur window folder or something, try to system restore to a week ago and check if its still there. if it is still there, i suggest u to get something like avast to delete it (what i use) or avg (ppl say its good, but i dont like it), if it still doesnt work, try to use norton to scan that specific folder and if that doesnt work, back up all ur files. and if its an aim virus, its probably some pervert trying to get pictures of u in ur comp, so reboot ur comp.

my old boss told me about his friend who got an aim virus that sent all his aim conversations to his entire buddy list.....at work!!!! so his boss got an eyeful of badmouthing, rascist remarks, pervy conversations with female co-workers, etc. he ended up getting canned.
