I was wondering. In the novel, was LCY's martial arts strictly a counter to Central Divinity WCY's martial arts?

Or was it perhaps meant to be used along with QZ Swordsplay in order to be a dual Sword combination martial arts?

Did LCY intend to beat WCY with her created martial arts, or did she just want to provide the filling for loopholes in WCY's martial arts?

The martial arts of the Jade Maiden Heart Manual were designed as a counter to WCY's martial arts, but at the highest, very last level, it was meant to be complimentary as well.

the term 'blackstar' means some thing which is the opposite element to another thing, but in a neutralising fashion. like water against fire, earth to block wind. that kind of idea.

jade maiden skills could counter the moves of quezhen schools, meaning to block all manner of attacks and leave no way for counterattacks, and to take advantage of all weaknesses to score victory. but the skill could also cover up all the weakness of quezhen skills and the same applies vice verse.

this only applies to the advanced jade maiden set of skills, the other ancient tomb skill are equal to quezhen but not the blackstar. LMC had learned all the skills of ancient tomb except for jade maiden skills. the moves of the jade maiden skill built on the ancient tomb skills which LMC knows fully but has variations and changes she has no idea of, and the inner power portion is more advanced then what LMC had learned. these changes and variations are built on top of quezhen skills so LMC has no way of discovering them on her own. jade maiden skill is composed of both ancient tomb skills and quezhen skills.

I think it's interesting how the pinnacle of the Ancient Tomb skill set could only be realized through the mutual cooperation of Quan Zhen methods. I suppose it's a kind of metaphor for LCY's conflicting attitudes towards Wang Chong Yang - despising him, yet at once desiring reconciliation.

LCY didnt REALLY despise WCY, which is y she created the last stance as a mutual pact, unrealistically hoping she and WCY would use it together

as for every other stance, its a strict counter to QZ sword techniques
