Does Spcnet often have maintenance work?

Hi,

Lately, I often find that I can't access spcnet at night. (I live in Sydney) I don't know if spcnet shuts down every so often to do maintenance work, or it's my computer's problem.

yea, i live in east aus too. Usually it's at night when i'm in the middle of posting a message that the server goes down.

Okay, so it happened once this afternoon for me. I actually prefer it because I take it as a sign that I shouldn't be procrastinating.

Currently looking into the problem now. The server's been a bit unstable ever since we upgraded to the newer version of vBulletin but we're not sure if it's related yet.

every morning, (i live on the east coast, USA), i've had trouble accessing spcnet for the last, mmm...3 weeks? i check spcnet when i get into work at around 8:30, and it usually doesn't start working until around 10am. today, not until 11am.

considering we're roughly 12h apart, i think i have the same problem too. cant seem to access spcnet at night, and it would usually get back online around 12am....

ive been trying to get on spcnet for the last 4hours, btw....and it's 2358H now

The web server has been crashing due to some crazy memory spikes around 4 AM EST lately. Still trying to look into this problem. We disabled some scheduled tasks around that time last week and thought that solved the problem but apparently not. Not coincidentally, 10-11 AM (later depending on how late I finally drag myself to work) is the time I get to work every day and notice that the site is down and restart.

OMG, I was actually going to edit that 5 hour to just 2 hour. hahaha then I saw your post. But I have an excuse! I'm at work right now with nothing to do! So I get on when I get to work.
