4 Times a week. I tried to be consistent.

Do you exercise daily in the morning, after work?
After work because I do not wake up early enough to do so.

Take walks after meals? Run up and down the stairs?
Varies...I would make an attempt after 4 hours from a meal. lol

Do you practice yoga/aerobics/ other cardio workouts?
    Do you dance?
I do Tae Bo and some running/walking on the treadmills

How about your diet (as in the food you eat)? Do eat a good balance of healthy food or more junk food?
Nope...I just eat whenever I'm hungry to a certain extent. My downfall would be pastas and bread

How often do you weigh yourself? Are you concerned about your health?
Once in a blue moon or when I start not fitting into my favorite clothes I'm not concern yet however I try to stay alert and pay attention to my health condition since I do have a routine check up when necessary.

-4 days and nights a week.

Do you exercise daily in the morning, after work?
-I exercise when I get up in the morning and once more when I get home from work.

Take walks after meals? Run up and down the stairs?
-Usually I wait for an hour before exercising after eating, if not it causes stomache pain.

Do you practice yoga/aerobics/ other cardio workouts?
-I do a lot of swimming and basic sit ups, push ups, jumping jacks, running, and hoola hooping.

    Do you dance?
-If you call blasting up the music and jumping around dancing then yes.

How about your diet (as in the food you eat)? Do eat a good balance of healthy food or more junk food?
-I don't restrict myself on food. Whatever I'm in the mood for, I'd eat it.

How often do you weigh yourself? Are you concerned about your health?
-Every 3-4 weeks. No, I have a doctor for that. If they tell me I'm healthy, then I'm healthy. I don't worry about it.

Haha this thread sounds like a perfect opportunity for me to reflect on how unhealthy I've been lately before I go out tonight. My friend's late so I might as well kill off some time.

I try to do cardio every day because I'm kind of addicted to endorphins However, it's not like I freak if I don't exercise for a day...Fridays in particular I'm more likely to be out eating than exercising. I also don't have the resources or the need to drive myself around, so I get some exercise from walking (rather briskly most of the time, since I have a tendency to hit my snooze button a few times too many).

Recently, however, I've had a tendency to spend more time on my butt because of hardcore studying.

Do you exercise daily in the morning, after work?
I'm a morning person at like...noon. So definitely not in the morning. I like to go for a run in the afternoon an hour or so before dinner - by then lunch's been over for a while so I'm not bloated.

Take walks after meals? Run up and down the stairs?
I thought exercising after eating was bad for you! And I don't want to mess up my GI tract

Do you practice yoga/aerobics/ other cardio workouts?
Whatever suits my mood, really. I think I do more high intensity workouts like running and swimming than something lighter like yoga. Also crunches to keep those abs looking good!

    Do you dance?
Alone in my room to really lame/old music? Um... As for actual dance studio stuff, I quit a while back because life got in the way.

How about your diet (as in the food you eat)? Do eat a good balance of healthy food or more junk food?
Me? Well, naturally I only eat healthy

Okay, so being honest with myself, I adore junk food and I consume a good deal of it. My cooking skills also mean I have to eat a lot of processed junk. However, once I actually checked out how many calories I consumed a day and I was surprised to find it was a bit less than 2000. (On special occassions though, such as earlier this week, I probably double that amount.)

How often do you weigh yourself? Are you concerned about your health?
Every day. It only takes a second so I don't see why you wouldn't do it. I'm not obsessed with numbers (i.e. OMG I gained/lost one kilo) but it's interesting because I can spot patterns on how my weight fluctuates throughout the month.

As for whether I'm concerned about my health, naturally I am! It's what keeps me here. I would like to live a long and happy life plus I'd like to give my children good genes. I'm more concerned for my overall well-being though, so that's why I exercise to compensate for my junk food.

Anyone here skip breakfast or eat breakfast?

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it jumpstarts your metabolism or whatever in the day (but eating candy or whatever isn't good, thats not breakfast). And they say that you should stop eating 2 hours before you sleep or something like that.

Anyone here actually eat 3 meals a day and 1-2 snacks in between meals?

So no exercising after you eat, but rather exercise before you eat?

Now that I have more time during the summer, I'm trying to include more exercise in my life to be healthy as well as shedding some pounds. A girl has to keep in shape, right? Well either way, I'm trying to adapt to a new lifestyle.

I find that when I do yoga in the morning, I feel more refreshed and energized but then I think any exercise in the morning is good to stretch your limps and get your heart/blood pumping.

I don't... I'm guilty of being a couch potato. The only exercise I have most of the time is only walking. Not that I do that frequently though.

i started a "lifestyle change" a few months ago.

i eat every few hours to keep my metabolism up. i have a cup of cereal with skim milk in the morning, or low-fat oatmeal. then i have half a meal bar around 10:30. and the other half around 3. i have a cup of light yogurt around 6. dinner is around 8:30 and consists of very little rice (about 2 spoonfuls) and some steamed fish or chicken and veggies.

i go to the gym every day, 2 days of training, and 5 days of cardio, usually on the elliptical.

yeah, i know i sound all extreme and health fanatic-ish, but i cheat.

starbucks, taco bell, and kfc are my very good friends.

yeah, the carbs are bad. -_- but i make up for it by eating more fish! and this is actually very convenient for me, because i hate rice, and i only eat it for show.

    Did someone say Starbucks?

Does eating less rice really result in weight loss? I know a few people who limit their rice intake since a bowl of white rice can be around 150 calories. However, I'd imagine there to be much more calories in the foods you eat along with rice (i.e. meat) than in the rice itself. I don't really have an opinion on whether I like rice or not, but it fills me up. And when I feel full I'm less inclined to binge on junk food.

I try for that. Well, the snacks kind of work themselves into my eating schedule (I'm a kind of person that sees a truffle and eats it right away). When I'm busy I don't eat lunch to save time, but now that holidays have started I've become ridiculously unhealthy. I didn't exercise yesterday and I ate cheesecake again...I don't think I'm going to be a size zero for much longer if I keep this up, which means I'll have to spend more money on new clothes

it's not about calories, but carbs like white rice, if not burned up immediately, turn into fat. protein usually fills you up quicker, and is needed to build muscle. not that i'm trying to bulk up or anything.

I do 4 times a week, usually in the afternoon since I am not working at the moment. I do weight training once, aerobics once, combat training and yoga type workout. Plus, I do cardio about 4 times a week too at the gym.

I mainly eat lunch and dinner because I'm always too lazy to get up and have breakfast. I don't eat as much junk food as I use to but I still like to have a snack once in a while. Generally, I'm not concerned about my weight or my health because I try to have a balanced lifestyle. I do get a cold or headache at times but no major problems. I get sick about once every two years now, so I am very happy.

My mom is always telling me not to eat so much rice because you can gain weight if you don't exercise afterwards. If you do exercise, make sure to wait at least half an hour after meals.
