    Default Favorite Travel Photo

    What's your favorite travel photo taken?

    To date, this shot I took a few years ago of a couple walking down a beach in Nice, France is still my favorite. I like the strolling, backpacking mood amidst the sunset.

    Try as I might, few of my pictures turn out presentation-worthy. But I personally LOVE this picture of San Francisco Bay, which I took last summer:

    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sctm/v22/63/56/13735141/n13735141_31825975_4965.jpg')

    (The above picture was post-processed with an imaging software)

    My favorite photographer is Tudor Hulubei. He is actually a computer scientist, and photography is but a side interest. His photography truly inspires me to (want to) travel.

    Some of my favorite photos from him are:

    Irish beach:
    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.hulubei.net/tudor/photography/photos/P/e/People-On-The-Beach-2-750x500.jpg')

    New York City:
    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.hulubei.net/tudor/photography/photos/T/r/Tribute-Of-Light-750x500.jpg')

    Hawaii:
    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.hulubei.net/tudor/photography/photos/S/m/Small-Island-750x500.jpg')

    Gaudi's La Pedrera; Barcelona, Spain
    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.hulubei.net/tudor/photography/photos/L/a/La-Pedrera-Interior-Court-750x500.jpg')

    Lebanon 1:
    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.hulubei.net/tudor/photography/photos/L/a/La-Voile-Bleu-2-750x500.jpg')

    Lebanon 2:
    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.hulubei.net/tudor/photography/photos/B/a/Batroun-Village-Club-Pool-750x500.jpg')

    And yet, if I am only allowed one favorite, it would be the first photo from Tudor which captured my attention:
    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.hulubei.net/tudor/photography/photos/F/o/Forest-1-750x500.jpg')

    ... and for which I was inspired to capture this scenery at Mount Qingcheng. Although my very unsophisticated camera could not capture the vivid colours of nature, I nevertheless tried to mimic Tudor's elegance to the best of my ability:
    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://photos-c.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sctm/v57/63/56/13735141/n13735141_34156010_4218.jpg')
    忽见柳荫下两个小孩子在哀哀痛哭,瞧模样正是武敦儒、武修文兄弟。郭芙大声叫道:「喂,你们在干甚麽?」武 修文回头见是郭芙,哭道:「我们在哭,你不见麽?」

    Wow, the blue is just magnificent!

    Very nice! I think if you let a photoshop pro do a few touch ups of this picture, it'll be postcard worthy!

    Thank you for your kind words, GuGu. In fact, I thought my picture was pretty good, until I put it side-by-side with Tudor's! Really puts things in perspective.

    You know that it's because his camera equipments are probably 100 times more expensive than yours, right? Just take a look at the last picture you posted of his. Plus I'm sure the colors are enhanced via photoshop.

    Due to several complaints, I will stop using the terms "Babe" and "Baby" in reference to our female counterpart. They will now be replaced with "B*tch."

    That's a really nice photo. I love how the white strip of clouds (or smoke?) at the top contrasts with the dark blue skies in the background.

    Stunning photos The landscapes are very beautiful, and seem to be taken from near-perfect perspectives

    LOL, you know what, I have the same problem. Instead of capturing the sceneries, I'm more interested in capturing the people, for some unfanthomable reason. My sister thinks I'm crazy Nice to know I'm not alone, though.

    I especially love the one of the pond... very calm and peaceful. The photo with the palm tree overlooking the beach and mountains in the background is lovely, too. I like how the bottom half of the picture is sort of blurred out so that our eyes are only focused on the upper half. You're a good photographer
