    if you want the background to black and white, you must opening the background and click image - mode - grayscale, after that u click image - mode - RGB Color then u can move your pic and your nephew to the background. try it oc

    if you dont understand RGB mode, you can select you and ur nephew with the select tools, i like magnectic lasso, select AROUND yOU.. then go to select--> inverse. and then to ctrl+u or apple+u and make it black n white. i usually do it on different layers, so that i can make the lines softer.

    my friend also taught me this.

    1.make a duplicate.
    2.change the top layer to black & white, using ctrl+u/apple+u
    3.take an eraser, & erase the areas you DONT want black & white; so yourself & ur nephew.

    2. If u want chang the top layer to black and white, you can click image-mode-
    grayscale and your picture will change to black and white.
    3. If u change grayscale, u can't erase area in colour. but u can make with other
    way. u can open 2 same picture and u erase 1 picture which you want colour.
    and 1 picture u can change with black and white. then you can drag your
    picture in black and white picture

    under filter, there should be something call "extraction" just draw a line around yourself and there you have it. Good luck, it's call extraction because it extract stuff from pictures

    Default Leave Color on Clothes!

    Hey guys, I learnt this awesome technique in Photoshop. If you follow the directions in the tutorial link, you can leave color on your photos of certain things like a piece of clothing, e.g shirt, pants, hat, it's pretty cool.

    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.heron-productions.com/tutorials/leavecolor/tut_1.jpg')
    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.heron-productions.com/tutorials/leavecolor/finished.jpg')

    http://tutorialoutpost.com/view/5355/leave-color/

    I'm terrible at explaining, but the tutorial should do a better job at that.

    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/2456/shirtyij2.th.jpg')

    See the above photo? I left color on the shirt, but turned the background to black and white, so that the focus is on the shirt. Kinda neat, don't you think?

    i just couldn't find the right font for this poster! a friend on msn suggested this font, but i still think somethings not right about it.

    you mean gaussian blur?

    let me upload examples for you dear. ^_^
    i'm feeling helpful.

    if this is the look you're going for here is the step:
    1. open your photo
    2. make a duplicate [ctrl J]
    3. put on overlay
    4. filter-->blur-->gaussian blur
    5. play around with the numbers [start out at a low number, i find that it works best when it's around a 3]

    this is the original pic:
    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r220/baccardixx/fbbtesting.jpg')

    this is with gaussian blur:
