    Default Wok of Life

This 1999 drama serial is currently rerunning on every Saturday and Sunday on 4.30pm. Starring Chew ChorMeng, Ann Kok, Evelyn Tan, and Florence Tan.

This was one of my favourite TCS drama serial.

Anyone watching it on the weekends now?

ermm Chew chor ming and evelyn tan went back to the past. Evelyn tan lost her memory due to mulitiple knockings of her head. Chew chor ming character, Ri an was mistaken by the people back in the 60s to be his father.
Its one of the best production mediacorp have came up with!
its has 50 episodes and seriously speaking, this is the one and only drama with so many episodes does not turn out to something like potraits of home storyline.

yes, I am watching parts of it when I am at home...its one of my favourite shows too....though on rewatching, I do find Zhou Chuming's acting kind of exaggerated for the beginning....but overall, it was not bad. I kept thinking Sharon Au was in this show...I supposed I got mixed up with another drama from that era by mediacorp...

Seriously this is easily one of the best series by Singapore. Every episode is good, no any drags and it's not long-winded though it has 50 Episodes...

Kinda sad that Chor Chu Ming is being "kept in the fridge" by Mediacorp nowadays...

Sharon Au is in another "... of Life" series with Chew Chor Meng and Li-lin, Spring of Life. That one is draggy and boring IMO.

Yes, he has been "in the fridge" for a long time. However, he is currently filming another series.

I love this series. This is the only long series, Mediacorps and otherwise, which doesn't bore me and kept me hooked throughout. I remembered during the time when it first aired , I felt lost when the series ended because that it felt like I was saying goodbyes to characters I knew personally.

Zhou Chu Ming is so cute in this show! I saw him in person a long long time ago...we both used to visit the same hairdresser....he has the most amazing complexion I have seen for a Singaporen guy...flawless and smooth...I remembered being quite amazed...actually he's still cute, he just needs to lose some weight....

I agree. He is really not as "handsome" as he consoled himself :P I still like him as an actor tho. But I think he is keeping it natural. He just didn't do as what Li Nanxing (and some others) did, to maintain that youthfulness.

Where have you been living all these years? She's married for some years now and even has a daughter.
