I hate Huang Kaijie too, especially when he tried to kill Jinfeng and all other wicked stuffs he did.

Anyway, this shows that Tay Ping Hui's acting skills are cool...he is able to act good and evil characters.

Ha ha, because of this show, I started watching Singapore Tv dramas again...and also went to eat Bah Kut Teh...

I see great potential in Felicia Chin, probably she can be Singapore's icon actress in a few years time and filming with overseas actors...

- Lin Fei did not die. She almost had a miscarriage, but was send to hospital in time.
- Rou Gu Mei died. She was killed by Kaijie.
- Jin Long committed suicide to join Rou Gu Mei after scattering her ashes at the sea.
- Kaijie escaped abroad while being investigated for corruption and the murder of Rou Gu Mei.

A few years later (2007, since Kinship -_- was shown on the TV) ...
- Kaiqi had a daughter.
- Kaida was well enough to go back to hospital to help out.
- Xiao-gu sold the restaurant and the dry market.
- Kaijie was stabbed to death in a hotel room by the room service waiter, who then took his money. A bit unexplained.

Kinship is 《手足》, a 80++ episodes series that is splitted into two parts. Part 1 was aired in 2007, while part 2 is currently airing on TV. The general consensus is that it is crappy.

There is no linkage between this series and Kinship.

Yah, I think that waiter is an assassin. It looked too well-planned to be a simple robbery. Probably sent by Lin Fei's father or Lin Fei herself. I'd like to think the latter, since the the show seemed to hint it was her by showing the photo in the wallet.

Yeah, he's a policeman in the show and still carrying the gun around at that time. glad he didn't pull the trigger.

even though he's a bad guy, i find his affection, love and tenderness for feifei admirable. it's sad feifei could never reciprocate his love.

This show is being re-run in Singapore on weekends. I believe it got very high ratings on its original run at the end of last year and early this year.

Personally, though, I think it's a bit too soon for this serial to be repeated. Although I enjoyed watching it very much during its initial run, I'm watching it only on and off this time around as I'm finding much of it too familiar to want to sit through it faithfully.

I still love the intro though.
