If anything, I thought people wouldn't have faulted Gwok Jing for wanting to cut Gwok Fu's arm off, but for not following through on that intention. Don't most people hate Gwok Fu? Don't they *want* to see her lose her arm? Why, then, fault Gwok Jing for wanting to do it? Why not fault him for not following through on it instead?

She prevented him from doing it at that particular moment, but what was to stop him from doing it later? Wong Yung couldn't continuously stop him from doing it if he was really determined to do so.

He uncharacteristically gave up on the idea and gave in to Wong Yung's wishes. He'd have gained his wife's wrath had he gone ahead and cut off his daughter's arm, but I thought he would be willing to live with that if that was the price of being fair to Yeung Gor.

Imagine YG's reaction when he meets Guo Fu later with only one arm - it would be extremely difficult for him to extract any revenge.
