I've been a fan of Pulp since the late 90s, and Different Class remains one of my favorite albums. It's one of those rare cds that I don't get tired of listening to, and which I like all the songs.
Here's some background info about the band.

I think one of the main reasons I like Pulp so much is because I can kind of identify with their lyrics about growing up working class and the hopelessness one sometimes feels about life. Jarvis Cocker (I don't know if that's his real name) has this weird speaking/singing vocal through most of his songs that sounds like he's tell a story.
My favorite songs are Common People, Underwear, and Bar Italia.
I've never heard any of their other cds. It seems like the consensus from fans is that Different Class is their best album, and all their others sound very different.
Are there any other fans out there? I know I've talked to one person from spcnet who said he listens to them, but he's an idiot, and I don't take anything he says seriously, so I'd like some intelligent opinions. They were never a really popular band outside of England, I don't think. I only came to know them after becoming a big Oasis fan, and searching for similar music. Pulp is very different sounding, but they both have this "growing up in a poor English industrial town" feel.
