I have same feel like Lady Zhuge as I also love 1994 version.
Even Lu Yi is look not bad.. but Tang Guo Qiang's Kongming is always in my mind.

New "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" TV Series Unveiled in STVF
The 14th Shanghai Television Festival opened on June 9th as scheduled. Because of the earthquake in Sichuan Province, many celebrating activities had been cancelled and major film and TV companies also turned up in a low profile.

On June 10th, the appearance of the crew of a new TV series "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" drew a lot of attention and triggered loud screaming for a long while. Directed by Gao Xixi, the new "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" TV series is a TV adaptation of one of the four Chinese classic novels by Luo Guanzhong. Director Gao has selected out the major cast, as Chinese actor Lu Yi plays the role of Zhuge Liang, and actress Chen Hao acts Diao Chan, one of the most beautiful four women in Chinese history. What's more, Chinese actress Lin Xinru acts Sun Shangxiang, Yu Hewei as Liu Bei, and Sha Yi as General Zhao Yun.

The new TV series "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" is set to begin shooting at the end of this year. Since its preparation, the new drama has become the focus of media and industry. Taking apart the famous director Gao Xixi, the cast lineup is also a hot topic. The young actor Lu Yi will soon become a father, and it is really a big challenge for him to act as Zhuge Liang, one of the most important roles in the drama. Lu Yi said that he indeed had pressure, but he somehow was enjoying it. He has already started to study the original book of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" repeatedly, hoping to make a good interpretation of this role on the base of his acting experience gained these years.

Director Gao disclosed that the new "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" TV Series will be shot in Gansu, Xinjiang, Zhuozhou, Hengdian, and so on. With a 100- million-yuan budget, this drama will become the most expensive TV Series in China.

The new "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" TV Series is scheduled to be released in the year of 2010.

Lu Yi is about to become a father?! What? Wow, I'm really behind in asian celeb news! O_o I was shocked awhile ago to find out that Tian Liang was married and had a kid recently too...

Anyways, this sounds pretty cool, the character sketches look quite nice too. I watched the old version so many years ago I barely remember any of it. I think Chen Hao is very pretty, definitely suitable to be Diao Chan! She's much prettier than Ruby, IMO...actually I don't remember Ruby's character in the old version, is it a big role?

I agree with you about Chen Hao. As for Lady Sun, in the old version, she was in that one part of the story when Liu Bei was lured to Wu under marriage and alliance pretenses when it was really a trap set up by Zhou Yu to take Jingzhou. On the way back to Shu, Lady Sun and Liu Bei were stopped by Wu guards and Lady Sun saved the day.

He may not be your typical "shuai ge", but I think he will do Zhao Yun justice. I think he's best known as Bai Zhan Tang from Wu Lin Wai Zhuan/My Own Swordsman. He has been in a number of Gao Xi Xi's productions.
