I like Guo Xiang more but I'm not terribly familiar with Ah Zhu's character.

Both are lovable but definitely Guo Xiang is better....
Guo Xiang is more childish while Ah Zhu is more grown up...

They seem to have a similar personality. Both are very sweet and easy-going. One difference is that Guo Xiang is more naive and easy-trusting, such as the times when he easily took Ni Moxing and Golden Wheel Monk as friends! I can see her sacrificing her life for Yang Guo (in fact she kind of did when she jumped off the cliff after him).

Ah Zhu is a bit more mischievous. I can see her doing things that would be deemed "semi-evil," like Yin Susu and Zhao Min would. I don't think Guo Xiang would stole the Yijinjing from Shaolin for the same reason.

Ohhhh, Ah Zhu is making a come back! They are TIED at the moment.

Who's gonna cast the tie-breaker? And who will come out to be more loved by SPCNET? The tension is at an all time high!

I break the tie... with a more than obvious vote.

    But I like Ah-Zhu too.

GX. She is totally awesome. So good hearted and fun to be around, and not one ounce of the sense of entitlement for being GJ and HR's daughter. Basically, she's the anti-GF. Since GF is one of the worst human beings and waste of the world's resources to ever 'grace' the pages of a JY book, that makes GX fantastic beyond belief.

I feel really bad for Ah Zhu, but other than that, I don't feel any awesomeness from her. Just my personal opinion. No offense to AZhu fans.

That's precisely why I find the Gwok Seung character a bit suspect. It's almost as if Jin Yong were trying too hard to create an, as you call it, "anti-Gwok Fu." I kept on feeling that Jin Yong was making too self-conscious an effort to make the character likeable, and for me, it sort of backfired a bit.

That's a strong claim for someone who hasn't read the novel.

Ah Zhu doesn't make a big impression on me but then Jin Yong didn't write that much about her compared to Guo Xiang. The last chapters of ROCH followed her story and she was the central character, whereas Ah Zhu was barely the supporting character for the first part of the Xiao Feng's story.

Hey, instead of harassing your Yeung Gor-hating brother about that decade-old TVB thing, why don't we go gang up on some vegetarian/Buddhists instead?

I think you should dedicate some time to pray for the Lakers, instead.

The Ghost of Chick Hearn will look after them.

Candide and I will eat steaks tomorrow just to piss you and ji gong off (because we're dicks that way).

After we're done doing that, we'll turn against each other. He'll harass me about not reading the novels and preferring 1980s TVB adaptations, and I'll tell him to bite me.

Just another pleasant Sunday at SPCNET...

I have no problem with that if you guy save me some too. I like my steak "rare," please. Besides, I have no problem with meat eaters and if you were to read my posts properly, you would have realized that. My original comment was spurred by TC’s hypercritical comment, that’s all.

The heck with that. I just lump all the people I know into two groups: Hostiles and Non-Hostiles.

Ironically, I would categorize you in the "hostiles" group. You've been blowing a lot of steam lately, Ken.

It's not TVB, it's you using Jin Yong this Jin Yong that while you haven't actually read his novels that makes me wanna virtual-kick your arse.

I like dating vegetarian chicks. It means I'm their only source of protein.

    I'm a Buddhist. I just don't like monks.

You know what I mean. I'm not going to freaking type out "1980s TVB adaptation of Jin Yong" every single fricking time. Life's too short, and you guys know me by now.

You're not the only one who gets annoyed and wants to kick "arse," y'know?
