Default What do you girls want for Christmas?

Trying to get some gift ideas for a female friend of mine. So what do you girls want for Christmas? Feel free to make a list and be specific if you like.

    Niu wei dao
All the volumes of History of Middle Earth.
    Digital camera.
    Playstation.
    Bagpipe...
(no chance in hell I'd get any of that, but it's nice to dream...)
And of course brushes, pencils, crayons, watercolors, sketchbooks, that sort of stuff...
And Shaw Bros DVDs. Esp. Chang Cheh stuff.

(Not sure this is in any way helpful to you - but it's what I want for Xmas...:-))

I don't want anything material-wise for Christmas, to be honest. I'd rather people use the money to buy food for the local food drive or something. I just want to have an enjoyable family gathering and just spend some time relaxing with the people I love.

For your friend - what is she into?

1984 taiwanese version of hsds - vietnamese dubbed on dvd please!

otherwise a nice dark brown fitted leather jacket will suffice.

or a pair of brown and black leather gloves that actually fit me will do too.

Now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind if someone bought me the Faith No More discography, as well as Mike Patton's Mondo Cane CD. I'll probably end up getting those myself though.

"all i want for christmas is my two front tooth..."

beggars arn't choosers. it really depends on the person.

    but for the generics...food?

if she lives in the cold, maybe a scarf? you can never go wrong with those since you don't have to worry about the size fitting.

if you know what type of music she likes, i suppose you can get her a CD

I have no idea what she's into. We became friends since last year. I have yet to learn much about her, other than she is very sweet to me. So that's why I want to get her something.

for her...i would say flowers, a small piece of jewelry, a box of chocolate with a teddy bear holding a helium balloon asking her, "will you be mine?". for some girls, christmas can be valentine's day too...

She initially wanted to lose 5 lbs, she got a gym membership and all. But instead of losing weight, she ended up gaining 10 lbs. So she told me now she has to lose 15 lbs. To me, she isn't overweight and is perfectly fine. But you girls are always so obsess with weight. lol

LOL that is such a mean gift! I feel that as a general rule, girls complain about wanting to lose weight, but still prefer affirmation that they are thin enough the way they are. BTW, I don't think 15 lbs is much weight depending on your frame (I'm short, so that would constitute losing 15% of my body weight lol).

Instead you should give her a huuuuge box of Godiva and write a note saying, "Dear ____, I hope this holiday season you gain weight instead of lose. More to love. "

I feel like gifts are best when personal. Talk to her, figure out one of her interests, and buy something that relates to that. And write a heartfelt card.

The gym thing may just be because she gained muscles? I don't know.

Yah, weight's a pretty big issue, though only for some girls I think.

Maybe get her something related to her studies? Like scrubs or something.

Haha, that was meant as a joke. It would be mean if he got her that.

I don't know, I'm already pretty underweight, so if I lost 15 pounds, I'd weigh less than 100 pounds.

Don't think she needs scrubs yet. I thought about getting something that she can use in class but not sure what she needs. From the examples above, seems like you girls like pens and art supplies.
