what drama!..spectactular semifinal..i think if anything this champions league will be marred by all the poor refreeing than the quality of football...fletcher's sending off and now this...but its the dream finale..two of the best attacking sides in teh world square off

This is the final I wanted when the knockout stage began but I didn't expect it to happen after way the Man Utd looked against Porto and the run of form Arsenal was having. In my view the ideal match up for the final.

Well, my version of win-win situation is Messi scoring two goals, Ronaldo getting injured in the 1st minute, and Man Utd scoring 3 goals, thus Man Utd winning 3-2!

My ideal situation would be Ronaldo losing the ball every time he touches it, getting yellow card for diving and then a second red for whinning about the first card. Barca wins 5-0 with Henry scoring two, Messi getting three with all five goals assisted by Xavi.

Yes, but shortsight is rooting for Man Utd! That's where the conflict comes in, cos if Messi is having a really good day, it could well means he could make things really, really difficult for the Red Devils.

I'd be rooting for Man Utd though, and be hoping for a heartstopping match.

I meant it more as a joke about the who is the better player debate between Messi or Ronaldo. I am of course rooting for Barcelona. The key I think will be Henry more than Messi. Henry was the most effective attacker in the first leg against Chelsea and when he and Messi are both on the field the opposing defense gets pulled out wider opening up more space in the center for Eto'o. Also when Henry is out Ineista gets moved up front and Barca is more effective with Iniesta in the midfield.
I am also hoping for an exciting match.

My impression is that it would be more likely that Rooney would be sent off for biting Ronaldo's ears. Ronaldo would then in a panic rush off the pitch looking for a mirror to make sure he was still pretty. This enrages Sir Alex who would chase Ronaldo around the stadium screaming, "It is only your ears you prissy little bugger, you don't need ears for football." Caught up in the drama, the United players players forget that there is a game going on and Barcelona scores 15 goals. Ronaldo is sent off and guest TV commenter Didier Drogba tells the audience "It is a F-ing disgrace, Abidal chewed both my arms and legs off during the semifinals against Barcelona and the referee didn't even show a yellow." Following the match Ronaldo tearfully announces that he will leave United for Real Madrid during the summer.

Actually, not really it is only Rooney & Ronaldo that I dislike. United has some players like Tevez, Berbatov and van der Sar that I like quite a bit. The only team I really hate is Chelsea. Well, and maybe Real Madrid.
