    Default Suggestion/ Advice: Macbook vs IBM Thinkpad

    Hey folks, I would appreciate if you could help me out here.

    I need a new lappy, mainly for design (artwork, graphic design, etc) kind of work.

    I know a few designers would suggest Mac, but it really comes with a price. Why is it better anyway? What about IBM Thinkpad? Which series do you suggest? I know there's a T41, T42. I have very vague idea of what this Thinkpad is capable of doing. Upgrade of RAM, HD, how cumbersome is it? Or, just as normal? Pray tell!

    Lastly, FYI:-

    - playing games is out for me.
    - Satisfactory soundcard will do fine.
