He suffered cardiac arrest. But there's no report that he's dead.... yet.

Even if he is, I don't weep for child molesters.

Give it a few days, he might not be dead at all.

However, one of the original Charlie's Angels, Farrah Fawcett is dead at age 62.

CNN too. It looks like it's for real.

Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson...three absolutely HUGE pop culture icons swept away in a week.

I was a huge fan when I was younger - and I've always had a soft spot for MJ.
I basically grew up listening to MJ songs all day and night. All other girls fell in and out of love with various boybands and one-hit wonders but I was a faithful MJ fan...
Moved on to a *very* different kind of music when I was around 15 or 16, but MJ was still the icon with whose music I'd spent a significant part of my childhood/teens...
So it really feels a tad funny that he's gone now.
I'm not gonna cry a river - but I do feel quite nostalgic...

    Dead on the news, though...

He is currently somewhere in Texas or maybe in Vegas, prolly at the same place where the King of Graceland currently hiding. Staying and enjoying life *after death*.

There are two Kings now in hiding:
    - King of Pop & King of Rock & Roll.

MJ, whatever you do in real life, there is no denying, you're the greatest. Thriller is the best.

I heard in morning news today and was totally shocked. The passing of a great legend.

So that's why the radio station played a Michael Jackson song today, which was definitely out of the ordinary. I was wondering why, no wonder.

I seriously was completely speechless and in shock when I found out (I really thought it was a terrible joke). I still sort of am.

Aside from the fact that his personal life may have been very odd and messy, Michael Jackson is undeniably one of the greatest artist/musician/performer that has ever lived. He was a legend when he was alive, and will continue to be such after his death. The man is irreplaceable and just amazing.

He's one of my most repected musicians, and the news is very sad. May he rest in peace.

I sort of felt that this day was coming soon, given the trajectory that Jackson's life had taken in recent years. I had no illusions that he would be able to live into old age, and I wondered what this day would be like.

    Now, I know.

How did you know that he molested those kids?? I don't believe so... I mean, I don't think he was THAT lucky to be dropped of all charges if he truly did do it...

Here is an article that I found about his death:
    http://omg.yahoo.com/news/michael-ja...at-50/24346?nc
I was soo shocked when my brother just turned the TV on and we all saw the news. May he rest in peace.... I had a feeling this day was coming too since he had a stressful life so I don't think he would have been able to live until he was really old....

Besides being a great musician, he was also a good person and did a lot of charity work as well. Look at the songs that he sang, such as "Heal the World", "We are the World",etc... which are all aimed at saving people and the world....

I've got the Jackson Five and MJ solo records spinning tonight. In *vinyl* format for authenticity.

For those who are saying that "Oh he's a child molester, so who cares" - this is not about his personal life. It's about his legacy as a musician. Yes, it is a terrible thing that he was a child molester (if this is indeed true). But that is, and remains, part of his personal life (which like I mentioned before, was very eccentric and odd). It does not, and should not, take away anything from Michael Jackson the musician/artist/performer. As a musician, he still remains one of the best and most influential man there is, and he deserves every bit of respect for that.

if you look back into his life. He was pushed into stardom at the age of 5 by his parents. He never really had a childhood. That is what troubles him and caused his to be mentally abuse. Please be respectful for the dead. I can't believe you guys would say those things when the man is dead. I really feel sorry for him. Yes he is famous, but i dont think he was ever truly happy. Towards the later half of his life, things only seems to go down hill. Honestly i dont know how he can go through all that. Maybe this is a good escape for him. Finally he can be free of everything.

Those poor kids of his. They live such a shelter life, maybe now they can finally lead a normal one.
