    Nice video.
Wow, the city is brand new and no one lives there. It looks like china's stimulus package doesn't work well either.

The infrastructure has been built so that is capital ready to be utilised any time. I wouldn't say the package has been wasted.

It wasn't a waste but not a success either. They should expand the old city instead of building a complete separate new one far away with no economy going on.

They're doing something different. I applaud daring new ideas.

I have nothing against new idea and I am indeed like new ideas. However, this is a very risky one. I don't recall any country doing this before. Most countries just expanding their old cities and it work very well on most cases.

You would probably agree it is much easier and less intrusive to build something away than to massively 'upgrade' an existing city. If that's how China wants to do it, then so be it.

China is sovereign country so she can do whatever she wants in her home land. However, it's unwise to take such a high risk where the alternative is much better.

New ideas are always risky, if you don't take risks you don't get anywhere.

Think about that statement, you don't recall any other countries doing it before, so this country shouldn't do it. If every country thought like that, we'd still be in the stone age. If you don't have the gall to do something new, stand aside while someone else does it. Then 10 years later when it's old news you can catch up.

Yes and No. It's depending on the situation. If I were the politician, I would rather stick to old idea of expanding the city, which is proven to be successful in almost all cases, instead of building a completely new one, something haven't done before.

Well, you have to look at the alternative beside the new idea. If the alternative is proven to be good, why not stick to it. New ideas should only be considered when the alternative is bad.

Certainly no-one thought WWII planes were *bad* but that doesn't stop people to be ever improving.

My point is that no current technology or practice is bad.
