Personally, I don't as the vaccine itself is not safe. Normally, it would take 2-3 years to develope a good vaccine. This time, they only take 2-3 months.

I'm quite worried about a friend of mine who had a bad throat for more than a week (probably more than 2 weeks), mild cold, slight cough and has been feeling easily tired.

I think what you had was a cold, not the Swine flu.

i had symptoms from both your examples. the first thing i had was a sore throat, and then it got worse. maybe i have some other kind of new flu! it's november, so maybe it's turkey flu!!

What are you talking about, America has done virtually nothing about the flu for months, while a country like China took it seriously and even banned some foreign airplanes from entering the country.

I had lab confirmed H1N1 and quarantined for 6 days. Fun experience and that saves me from being jabbed by a needle.

Thanks for sharing... I am guessing it varies from person to person. Some people have even died from it while others are in the hospital fighting for their lives. However, for the most part, many people are fine and make a full recovery. But I have read news reports about how it is not possible nor is it necessary to vaccinate everyone with the H1N1 virus because it is not as serious as people make it out to be. My family is sooo paranoid that they want me to get vaccinated for it, not go out and hang out with what they call "sick" people since I currently don't have health insurance. Geez, they are way to paranoid...

Don't you get any coverage from the government? We don't pay for going to a doctor when needed but we have to pay for medication.

I've learned to trust Western media as much as I trusted the communist one in my motherland.

When swine flu was in the news here, there were many death reports. Turned out that in all of those cases, the cause of death was something else entirely, but the fair & balanced democratic media people couldn't help making up bullsh!t themselves.

Remember bird flu? That was meant to wipe off a large chunk of the Asia Pacific population! I think it killed fewer people than a regular flu.

They did make the media and the pharmaceutical companies richer though.

I saw the video and it's really sad. I feel for the poor girl.

Although according to experts this rare side effect happens in just one in a million.
