the truth is, when you look at the messages left on the news board, there is very little sympathy for the spoiled brat. it's obvious to all that she tried too many times to cover her act but her lies were inconsistent with reality. i'm waiting for further charges to be pressed. it seems as though maximum jail sentence for her is 2 years...that seems like a joke when a poor adolescent boy is scarred for life.

I have absolutely no sympathy for the girl and I think she deserves the maximum that allowed by law. However, if 2 years in prison is the maximum, then I am ok with it. It's not the case that I think 2 years in prison is fair, but it's wrong to change the law after the incidence. There was a case in Canada where a guy committed a brutal murder 3 days before his 18th birthday. He got 10 years in prison, the maximum allowed by law because he was under 18. Well, he was in prison a few years before his sentence so those years would count as double. Therefore, he is actually going spend like 7-8 years for the brutal killing.

So yesterday, an old drunk Asian guy hit a mother and her two kids while crossing, in the same city. Thankfully they're ok. All these reckless drivers need to be punished I swear.

I have no sympathy for the driver at all, and usually when a bad Asian does something wrong, the good ones are affected by it too. But I'm just sick with some of the white folks here with their racist mentality and can't let go of the opportunity to bash when a minority is involved. The cause of the accident was clearly from drunk driving, not because his lack of English, nor because you think he's an illegal alien and how you think he should be sent back to motherland.

But what's new?

Again, I have zero sympathy for that asian drunk driver. I would like him to get the maximum that allowed by law. Here in Canada, I never heard of those racist comments.

I mistakenly used racism earlier since bigotry would be the right word. Fortunately you don't hear those comments being used in public(just online), I don't think anyone would dare use it. Good luck to them if they did because there are over 30K Cambodians living here, making almost a 3rd of the population. And that's not even counting Vietnamese and other ethnicity. The white folks are scared of us actually.

The thing is that there are many of us trying to improve the community and at the same time, there are some really rotten ones too.

Yeah I saw the video. They had to call the younger Cambodian cop to translate, probably not in duty since he wasn't in uniform. The man was like mumbling to himself and smoking in the car earlier...he needs to go and be jailed. Needless to say, bad influenced people like him are the reason why there are so many bad Asian kids here.

Compared to Dorchester and Lawrence, I don't think our city is that bad?

It has been a bad week here, there was another 18yo kid hit yesterday in downtown by a non Asian driver. The driver is like over 80yo but was going on a green light. Pedestrians here are worst than Boston when it comes to street crossing.

Black, white, asian, spanish, middle eastern, blue, green, grey, whatever color. If you drink and drive or driving recklessly and got into accident, you deserve the maximum sentence that allowed by law and your license should be suspended for a long long time. These reckless drivers shouldn't have the right to drive.
