    Would you support his decision?
No, absolutely not, but he can do whatever he wanted as that is his right to do so.

So I guess now we can really marry our favorite fictional characters. Maybe I should go up to Jin Yong and propose to his XLN. lol
Of course you can, but I don't think you have to propose to Jin Yong.

I won't support his decision, and that's really crazy, though I agreed with Guo Xiang on the comment about Japanese going extreme, and weirder each day~

In fact, his actions is a mockery to the institute of marriage, which in my opinion, should really be between a man, and a woman, not animals, or videogame characters. It gives bad example to others who might imitate his actions.

Getting a customised sex doll might cost a bit, as someone said, but not impossible, and that sex doll is still not a real thing either ~ and I don't approve of such actions either.

With that said, what I approve or not, basically is of no consequences to anybody else anyway LOL.

Finally~I congratulate Nintendo DS for the coming up with such a 'realistic game' (I was eying that game months ago when it first came out too)

Yeah, that's pretty ------ up. And I thought I seen it all!

What if the man, or woman, cannot find a real companion in real life? Yeah, i agree, its retarded. The next thing we know, somebody will be marrying their stuff animal or blowup doll.

what if i'm not a virgin anymore? can i still marry them?
    No. You're banned for life.

This is Japan. It's already happened.

I think I'm beginning to understand why Yoshiyuki Tomino, the creator of the GUNDAM anime franchise, goes on 45-minute rants during award ceremonies that honor his work...

Is everybody really that lonely in Japan?

For the first time in my life i agree with Tomino. In fact, i would give him a huge applause if i was at one of those ceremonies. He's probably the only sane person in all of Japan.

At the moment, I feel sort of like going on a 45-month rant myself...

Not everybody for sure but quite a few. Not just in Japan, there are loners in every part of the world at any moment. It's not good but part of life.

That happens for alot of reasons. Some of them are simply geeks, the type who work so much, have limited social life so they couldn't communicate with real girls and had to resort to dolls and anime characters instead. Some simply do not want to go through the heartbreak love could afflict on them.

But it is of my opinion that the more advanced technology is, the more distant the society will be. And Japan has a very high rate of technology indeed... plus their lifestyle type is already made to be distant - the man works all day long, limited communication with family. Technology is very fun, and doesn't give you as much pain as humans do. At least technology won't really plot against you or something.

Yeah that's true. I think technoloy is making everyone anti-social... We gain a lot by making things fast and convenient but at the same time i also think we're losing something. It's pretty sad when japanese men have to resort to blowup dolls or videogame characters when there's plenty of single women out there. It's just a sad sad state of affairs we live in today. I blame it all on technology lol.

It's not just the technology, though...it's the whole Japanese cultural mind set. In the past, they had the whole samurai mindset and that worked well when they were a culture of samurai. That's long gone, however, and they never figured out exactly what to replace it with, and the result has been a sort of paralysis.

Well the Japanese care a lot about reputation. They're also very clean and orderly, in a zen-ish kind of way. They tend to bottle up their emotions and put up a mask. So they have all these repressed emotions that's ----in up their minds. Isn't also Japan the most sexual city in the world? I heard they're a bunch of perverts. LOL.

The greater the repression, the greater the reactionary perversion. How else do you explain the fact that a country that was founded by English Puritans now produces the largest portion of the world's Internet porn?

Yeah that's very true. They have to let it out somehow, i guess that's exactly how they do it. After all, this is the country that made Evangelion. Also, didn't in the samurai period they have geishas? They weren't that repressed. At least the samurai's weren't. Those bad samurai's...

It's very true as society is driving some of the men to where they are.

Well, nothing to happy about but also nothing to sad about it either. I can see there are more and more people live alone by themself as people are becoming more and more selfish and materialistic with little or no moral values.

My prediction is: In less than 50 years, a large portion of population will live with a doll of opposite sex. Hey, this could be a solution to the gender imbalance problem in countries like China and India. Single men who are unable to land a lady can get a beautiful sex doll instead.

What happens to the Japanese women? Are they all single? I hear China could use more of them.

Won't that have a worse affect on the human population with less people making babies?

Some prefer to marry foreign or leave for greener pastures so get a less repressive lifestyle. Japanese culture isn't all that kind to women.
