I have a few more years to go before I'm thirty. How life for you people 30 and up?
Are you where you want to be in life? If not, what's holding you back from being there?

I just love how you Captivate My Mind

A woman should probably answer this as men/women have different experiences and biological clocks.
But so far, aside from more jowls and weight gain. Not much different. Not as impulsive as I once was, not as quick to anger, more cautious.
life becomes grey. you speak less. you get more interested in politics.
you become less motivated to earn big money. you think more about death.
Chasing tail becomes less important. You value friendship more. You start realizing that there is a half-life to achieving your dreams.
Yes, Suet Seung: life is over at thirty. I've been a zombie for nearly eight years now.
Life after 30 isn't as bad as one might perceive it to be, or experience it as, for that matter. I retired from the corporate rat-race at 27. I'm still working my butt off, as those familiar with my work would attest, but it's no longer a scramble up the ladder. I work (hard) because I really enjoy what I do.
And in my line of work where the gap between my age and that of my students' parents increases annually, being above 30 does have its advantages. For one, I can play the part of a grumpy old relative, tell people off and get a decent degree of compliance on various school-related issues!
I'll turn 30 before you, my young lady! I've planned ahead what I want to do, what I want to achieve before I touch 30! It's like a benchmark for me!
What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!
I don't care to sit by the window on an airplane. If I can't control it, why look?
Life does become monotonous.
I probably speak more because I care less about what people think.
My political leaning have become more Republican-like over time but I tend to view it as having a stronger work ethic.
Not as motivated to struggle and try to earn more but probably spend more time at work and being more responsible. Maybe because I'm managing some people now.
I probably think about death less now or it isn't as daunting compared to my teenage years. Probably attribute it to being tired physically and to a certain extent mentally.
Before hitting 30 I stressed quite a bit. I turned 33 about two weeks ago -not especially bothered since I've been playing ME2.
HK47: Now do you understand the travails of my existence master? Surely it does not compare to your existence but still...
You: I survive somehow
HK47: As do I. It is our lot in life I suppose master. Shall we find something to kill to cheer ourselves up?

wtf lol....how can it be that bad...30 is not even old..and by then you have a career + making more money than compared to your 20's....anywho...this thread is depressing me lol....
should be wonderful, i cant wait to act like some annoying older person and called 20-year-olds as kiddies.
then when i hit 40, i'll do the same to 30ish folks.

The only thing I need to know is that I don't know anything.
Sure you have a career and raking in the dough, but it's a stage of when you need to make some major decisions.
Should I take this post to fast track my climb up the ladder?
Should I have kids? How many kids?
I'm not even 30 yet, but I'm thinking about these things. Maybe because I've been worked like a dog the past 5 years and if I need to keep these hours up I don't think I'll have much time for a family.
"Oi kid, hurry up over here" ^_^

Oh gosh, I can't believe that I am 30 and will be 31 this year. I feel old but others always tell me that I look young and am still young. No, I am not where I want to be in life and it is mainly family that is stopping me. However, I need to fight hard and make my dream come true to build my career and one day maybe start a family since my biological clock is ticking. Gosh, I get scared reading about having kids after 35 and all.. Everyone tells me to hurry up and find someone to get married or else I will not be able to have kids. My mom gets mad hearing all that since she does not believe in that. She had me, my 6th and younger brother after 35.
My family and relatives are always in my face about career and getting married and having kids. Life at 30 can be ok but can also be really depressing and annoying depending on where you are in life....If you are happily married and have a good job/career then life is pretty good. BUT, if you don't then life is really depressing and you wonder you will be....

Respect other people's opinions and views. If we learn how to do that than all of these fights and arguments will not occur.
It's different, because the having children after 35 is only a problem if it's your first child...having children after 35 when its not your first usually doesnt have much problems.
My cousin is almost 35, and she's pretty concerned cos she and her hubby still hadnt have any kids.
