    Default Retirement Age

Should the retirement age be increased??
Will the government increase the retirement age?

I think retirement age should and will be increased but not because it's a good thing but because it needs to be done. For my generation (currently around 30 years old), I think the retirement age will be increased to at least 70 years old intead of 65.

Humans are increasingly able to live longer due to scientific breakthroughs. 4 decades later, maybe people will be able to live past 100 on a regular basis, and even at 70 years old people are still healthy and productive. The retirement age can go up with respect to life expectancy and productive age threshold.

I wonder what people's mental and physical faculties are going to be like at the age of 70.

Men should get to retire earlier because bloody women are still out living us.

This will never happen, at least not in your life time.

people can retire at whatever age they want, as long as they can afford it.

It is true for the rich but for Average Joe and Jane, it would be lucky if they can retire at the age of 70. With national debt is sky rocket, I think it's hardly any money left for people who will retire in like 40 years.
