    Default The Republicans' "Waterloo"

Conservatives and Republicans today suffered their most crushing legislative defeat since the passing of the Civil Right Acts in the 1960s as the House passed health care reforms today.

Passing healthcare reforms could be a good thing for society overall except for the abortion part. Healthcare should not cover for abortion that killing innocent unborn.

Passing of the Civil Right Acts was a grave mistake in american history. Take a look at those Civil Right leaders and institutions, you will see how racist they are for supporting black criminals when the victims are non-black.

I dare not say I'm decent in American history, but looking at what you posted just shows you have a lot less knowledge on the subject you sounded so sure of. For one, you need to read up on how the blacks were treated back then.

Maybe you should try picking up "To Kill a Mockingbird" too.

I read that novel back in high school but so what, it is fictional. What happened in the past is history. Life should move on.

Back to the topic, subsidizing abortion is actually make great economic sense and better for the society overall but cruel and immoral. It's way cheaper to abort the unwanted baby than to keep them and better for society as a whole as well. If the baby is growing up without a father in the hood, the chance is he/she will not be good for society anyway. However, what is troubling me is why should the baby pay the ultimate price just to make the life of other easier?? Abstinence and safe sex education is needed in schools.

Funny then you were complaining about the Civil Rights Acts about being a mistake. Why don't you move on from that first?

You read it but you understood nothing from it, not even history.

I have always thought of dubya as being George III, a man with no apparent talent or abilities, not very bright, having everything in life handed to him because of his parentage, who (to paraphrase Charles Fox's comments about George III) , "Spilled the blood of his countryman and bankrupted the treasury all for the sake of his own vanity."

would that make iraq "the new world" and saddam a martyr revolutionary?

That would be a stretch. No, the analogy refers to the neither war having been necessary or justified.
