Default Difference between chronological and reverse chronological resumes?

Is there any difference between the two types? Thanks.

chronology in general deals with the order of things -- for dates, that means from from one day, month, year to another.

chronological dates are listed from earliest to most recent, e.g., Jan 1, 2009 to July 3, 2010. reverse chronology is the opposite, e.g. June 30, 2010 to Dec 31, 2008.

most companies prefer resumes in reverse chronology, so you list everything from the most recent/current to the least recent. For example,

    Work Experience
    2008 - present clerk at such-and-such company

2006-2007 summer student at such-and-such company

    Education

June 2010 B.A., University of Whatever

    June 2006 High school graduate

    does that help?
