It works somewhat similarly to monetary wealth:

Some people work very hard at it, and consequently prosper in it.

Some people don't do very much, but are lucky and get lots of it anyway.

Some people work very hard at it, but somehow end up with jack.

Oh, I guess this is a good place. Happy Valentine's Day? Does anyone have any special plans?
    I like me.

I spent my life as per usual - did usual grocery shopping. I had, I would and I will celebrate Valentine's Day on every other single day.
What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!

Does actions really speak louder than words? If so, why do people constantly seek for the 'I love you'?

    Insecurity.

Don't be mistaken though. Actions do speak louder than words. People still expect to feel the love through actions more than hearing it.

I feel that that feeling/assurance needed by people who constantly seek for the 'I love you' is somewhat similar to how much one would feel more motivated to work hard from listening to words of appreciation/praises from their bosses.

What you said is what I've been taught growing up. I guess it's American's custom to say it a lot and expect to hear it a lot in return cause we'd never say such thing in my family. It feels weird and shocking sometimes when my sister would say or message it.

    90% true.

A relatively old chubby man can bag a hot young chick any day.

    Yes, he can.

But the "love" part (other than love of money and all it can buy) disappears from the equation.

Because if I get runned over by a bus today, I do not to go without saying "I love you."

Well the fat dude can still get:

    a) sexual pleasure
    b) gf experience
    c) show off to his group of friends

Even though it may be fake (love part) but hey there is heaps of cases where the girl may start to grow feelings towards him.

After all, girls are not as shallow as guys.

    If I could fly,
    I'd pick you up,
and take you into the night,
    and show you a love,
    like you've never seen.

I wish someone would do that for me.

if old chubby man buys me expensive house and car for marriage then i will be happy.
if old chubby man buys me expensive jewelry and furniture after marriage i will be very happy.
if old chubby man buys me expensive clothes, all the handbags i want, all the shoes that i want, then i will be very very happy.
if old chubby man and i have a child, then i will love that child.... and one day i will slowly love that old chubby man too.
so the way i see it money does equal love.

i'm messed up that way. wow.. too much yaoi!

I don't think it matters after you reach a certain age.

Anything you get by that point almost feels like a chewed-up bone they throw you out of pity...if you get even that much.

After a certain age, the world just stops caring...
