Can Wikipedia be trusted?

The question is pretty straightforward. We know that Wikipedia allows users to contribute to and edit articles. As a result, some people are skeptical about the site's trustworthiness. What do you guys think?

Its okay for searching for references, as well as things like general science knowledge and summary of books/TV shows/movies.

But for anything that can be "polarized", such as politics, history, religion, etc, it is not trust worthy, not only due to edit wars but bias of editors as well.

good for quick info look up... if you're doing research then look at the citation at the bottom.... can't use it directly as a source though.

Everytime I read up something on Wikipedia, I would do further researches, usually offline resources, if I am interested in that subject.

The point is, never take Wikipedia so seriously to begin with. It's more like snack, which cannot replace a main course.
