Default Would LHC have been able to break Dog Beating Stick?

Swap Linghu Chong for Ouyang Feng/Yang Guo when Hong Qigong and OYF were debating techniques.

Would LHC and DG9J be able to break those DBS stances faster than OYF?

In his own novel, and an actual fight, he might tie or break it with plot armor(not against HQG obviously)

    In ROCH, doubt it.

I'm not talking about an actual fight. In ROCH, Hong Qigong and Ouyang Feng were using Yang Guo as an intermediate by showing him the stances and the counters, respectively.
Now, instead of OYF and Yang Guo, put LHC in the same sort of debate over technique.
H7G shows a stance, and then LHC tries to break it. Would LHC succeed with DG9J? And if so, would how long would it take?

He should be able to use the same trick that has worked every time: just stick out his sword in the optimum position.

Only possible problem is H7Q might be too fast for him. But that's a practical problem.

What if it were Dugu Qiubai?
Would he be able to take every stance from H7G at full strength?
    DG9J is crazy hax.

I think DGQB would just defeat him in one stance.

    (Yes, I said it.)

    I don't think so.

Hasn't been a thing written yet that convinces me that Dook Goo Kau Bai could defeat a Great that easily.

Your opinion doesn't matter as much as mine.

    I'm just a d*ck that way.

DGQB > Hua Shan H7? Yes.

    DGQB > ROCH H7? No.

You know, I'm prepared to concede that Dook Goo Kau Bai would be able to prevail over any ROCH Great one-on-one. I can deal with that one.

But I absolutely don't buy this, "beat them all in one-stroke while half asleep, and three limbs in traction" BS his fans like to foist on us.

Give me a "Dook Goo Kau Bai can beat any ROCH Great after 100 strokes" and I'm sold.

    Sure 100 strokes.

Linghu Chong struck out about 30 times in a second....so ok we'll be generous and say it'll take Dugu 5 seconds to beat a Great.

    Glad we're finally in agreement!

What agreement? In what universe is 5 = 100?

In the maths universe. 30 strokes per second. In 5 seconds, it's 150 strokes.

I don't teach math; I had straight A's in high school, except in math. I got a B- in that.

Other than Yeung Gor, math has been my *second* worst enemy in life. I ought to start a hate thread for that too.

Anyway, it's the number of strokes, not the time it takes to execute them, that's relative here. In LUK SIU FUNG, Sai Mun Chui Sheut needed only about a second to kill Yip Goo Sing too. That hardly means that SMCS was many times better as a swordsman than Yip Goo Sing (and the same would have been true had Yip prevailed).

Law of diminishing returns; DGQB will execute 5 less strokes after every second.

    30 + 25 + 20 + 15 + 10 = 100 strokes in 5 seconds.

One hundred strokes isn't that much, considering LOCH Greats couldn't even defeat GJ in 300 strokes...
