Still reading......the Bastard of Istanbul - Elif Shafak....love it! Funny as hell!
I love the sacastic, dark humour between the lines. My kind of reading. Every page sends me some laughters....so I'm careful when I'm reading it in the public transport.

American Gods just edges it for me because of the concept of the novel. It was just so intense.
Haha, yes, Good Omens is an absolute riot. Crowley is hilarious. I also adore Stardust. I was very disappointed about the film remake and did not watch it. I also love The Dream Hunters, which was illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano. Beautiful artwork.
And I really like your Death avatar. She's my favourite Endless.
Right now it's a very interesting book about Chinese theatre...

I only read high fantasy and Jack Reacher novel:
Current book: Mistborn book 2 - Well Of Ascension (Brandon Sanderson)
Previous Book: The Name Of The Wind - Kingkiller Chronicles - Book 1 (Patrick Rothfuss)
Next Book: Mistborn book 3 (Hard cover) - Hero Of The Ages - Out today - yay (Brandon Sanderson) - I need to order this from Amazon so will have to wait like 2-3 weeks to arrive at my place.
Next Book after that . Codex Alera 5 - Princeps Fury (Jim Butcher) - out 25th November.
How do you find time to read all those books, and watch anime and dramas AND work?
Man, I think after watching 2 episodes of One Last Standing (TVB), I feel like reading Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas. Instead, I'm reading Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen.
I just love how you Captivate My Mind
Self reminder - Update blog more often and continue editing/writing for TOV fanfic.
I use my Shadow Clone technique (learn from Naruto) and let the Clones do all other things like reading, watching and stalking. Because we share the same mind, all the experience will return to me later .
Anyway, seriously, when my new book has arrived, I use my saturday and sunday in my room reading it continuously until it's finish.
Hahaha, reading classic literature, I can never do that. Once tried to read Dickens Great Expectations but never finish it. I luv the movies - Ethan Hawke+Gwyneth Paltrow, that is why I try to read the book.

The only time nowadays that i read books (non-textbook) is during air flights.
My last one is "The weather Makers" by Tim Flannery. This is a very very good book on some of the explanation of the climate changes.

Re-reading: How I Became Stupid - Martin Page....to gain some wisdom. How can I get enough of those dark humour, although, the history books pending are very tempting.

Haha, I just ordered this book from Amazon, and I still not start reading Mistborn 3 yet. The book will arrived about 18-32 days to Malaysia - LOL, what a long wait - bleh. Luckily I still got Mistborn 3 to read .
My country book selling sucks, we never got first day hardcover released like in the US/UK, well except HP book. I will always have to order from Amazon which is not that expensive but takes time to arrive. And no, we never get the writers to come for book signing either - another bleh .

That's too bad - I saw Jim Butcher (author of Codex Alera and The Dresden Files) in person last spring and he's a very fun guy. Just a week ago I heard Harry Turtledove (look him up on Amazon; too many books to list here) read one of his own short stories, which was very enjoyable.
But I'll never get a chance to see one of my favorite authors unless I go to China.
As far as what I'm reading right now, I'm reading the fan translation of She Diao Ying Xiong Zhuan/Legend of the Condor Heroes for the second time.
你看这些云彩,聚了又散,散了又聚,人生离合也是一样。
I'm currently reading Jane Austen's Persuasion. The time is 3:12PM, I plan to finish the book in two hours. Let's see how fast I can read it.

The Holocaust - The Jewish Tradgey by Martin Gilbert
One of my favourite books on european history that reflects more than the war itself.
Summary:
A poignant introduction by the author (official biographer of Winston Churchill) is followed by his instructive analysis of anti-Semitism in Europe, from Martin Luther's venomous fulminations against Jews to the motivating power of anti-Semitism in the National Socialist movement. Hitler's "final solution" began formally within hours of the German invasion of Russia, a campaign that, as Gilbert shows, provided an opportunity for genocide hitherto lacking. With a relentless accumulation of detail and eyewitness accounts, he writes of the systematic efficiency of the Nazi attempt to destroy European Jewry and the widespread disbelief that such could be happening. Though the figure of Adolf Hitler remains in the background, such executives as Himmler, Eichmann and Mengele are very much in evidence throughout the gripping narrative (there is new material on the latter's labors at Auschwitz). An element in the historical tragedy that Gilbert stresses is the deliberate destruction of childrenone of Mengele's principal interestswhich the author calls "the new barbarism." The narrative reaches its dreadful climax with the convergence on the death camps of the Allied and Soviet armies, a time when "rescue and slaughter marched hand in hand." A particularly disturbing section deals with outbreaks of anti-Semitism after the German surrender. On July 4, 1946, for instancemore than a year after V-E Day42 Jews were massacred by Poles in the town of Kielce. Gilbert brings within the pages of this volume all the major substantiated evidence of Jewish resistance throughout the war, plus many examples of Gentiles risking their lives to protect Hitler's prey.

The Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M. Auel. So far, its pretty good; felt like your back in the stone ages.

I'm done with the Mistborn Trilogy - the final book - Hero Of Ages, is literally a book of revelation coz everything is explain I meant EVERYTHING that happen or facts in the 1st and the 2nd book. Not for a religious person coz in this book people ascended into Godhood and has the abilities to rearranged planet, creating new life, modifying life or modifying earth environment.
Favorite quote - "Welcome to godhood" .
Also done with Alera book 5 - Princeps's Fury. Book is too short and I still want more, Jim Butcher is so stingy, I hate him . Anyway as a spoiler (I know no one read this book except me LOL), Tavi @ Gaius Octavian can now manifest external fury, the strongest one in Alera. Anyway he inherited it from his recently dead, grandfather - Empreror of Alera - Gaius Sextus.
Anyway there is also good news - the 6th Alera series already been announce - First Lord's Fury - out December 2009. LOL Tavi is next to be seen as The First Lord - Emperor of Alera. Hahaha from a stable country boy in book 1 now, will become an Emperor in Book 6th, superb. Sadly it is going to be the final book in Alera series
Next book in waiting:
Patrick Rothfuss - The Wise Man's Fear (The Kingkiller Chronicle, Day 2) - out April 7
Lee Child Book 13 (yeah I read all previous 12 books already - in case if you're wondering ) - Gone Tomorrow - out May 19th
NOTES: Jack Reacher series is a good Mystery and Thriller book, but not for the faint hearted. Blood flows freely, terrible threats are made and carried out, and body parts accumulate. The hero is creepily amoral, carefree, loner, super violent especially when woman is abused and extremely badass . Holmes, Seagal, Ah Nuld all combine into a man with superb deductive ability and also a one man killing machine . He can dispatch villains with an astonishing array of weapons, including various parts of his body
