Be honest, its because of Zhou Xun right?

I like it too. Much better than the Athena Chu version. The sets in that version looked really fake.

yeah, i do really like Zhou Xun, but not only because of ZX making me like the series, the scenery, fighting scenes, settings, how faithfull it is to the novel are the main reasons why i like it

yeah, I'm re-watching it more and more times (so I don't remember ). It's the best wuxia series.

Current watching: Xiao Ao Jang Hu cctv 2001 . It make me sad because of storyline . a stupid storyline. Why did they change more, far from the novel. Keep watching because fighting, music , Li Ya Peng and Xu Qing

    Hey Goddess,

Where can you buy or rent/ find that ATV's 1990's version of the series called "the new reincarnated" starring eric wan & erica choi?

Does any asian on-line entertainment video stores have it?
I was searching for this in the original cantonese audio.

Is this series released on vcds or dvds in original cantonese audio?

What's the ratings of this atv series in Hong Kong?
Did this atv series beat tvb's ratings?

I am disappointed sometimes because the video rental stores sometimes does not have what I am looking for.
It's either they don't have chinese series with cantonese audio and only have mandarin audio or vietnamese audio---which I don't understand the language. I am disappointed because I wanted to watch some chinese series but its in other language I don't understand and some of these should have original cantonese audio language since they were originally produced in cantonese audio in Hong Kong.

or they don't carry older series such as productions of the 1980's or 1990's and only carry recent series. I would rather watch series of the 1980's or 1990's of either ATV or TVB because the series are better than series of nowdays.

or they only carry series of TVB's just recent series.

or they charge you high membership fees.

    Hi, siryu.
Sorry for the later reply. Haven't visit on this thread for a long time.

Well, I only know the name of the main actor (SPT) is Wu Jian. Other than that, I don't recognised anyone in the series. The plot and pace of the series is good, and the set and sceneries are mostly realistic (note: it's realistic but not beatiful. Do not expect beatiful scenes like in LOCH).

What I really really dislike about the series are the costumes and hairstyles of the cast. Their costumes and wigs are one of the ugliest set of costumes I have ever seen in a wuxia series. Even worse than the costume of those Taiwanese adaptation produce by YPP. Also, the special effects and computer graphics are amaturist. It is very obvious that this series is low budget.

Performance wise, some of the actors are really good, but some are really annoying. You know, those that take in a high pitch voice and act really clownish like they are idiots. Luckily, these annoying ones only play a small role in the series.

Actually, eventhough though I seem to critisized more that praised the series, I did enjoyed it very much. If not or the hedious customes and annoying performances of some cast, I would have said this is a good series. So, final verdict is, it is an everage series.

from what I heard and read, the version with Richie Ren, Ekin and Ruby was bad. I didn't watch it because:
    1. Richie Ren cannot pass as CLH, looks and charm wise
    2. Even my mum who likes RR, said that the series was 'nonsense and rubbish'

Miu Kiu Wai is still the best CLH for me!

    Hey earth

I'm not sure where you can get "The New Reincarnated." I think my uncle was able to buy this series in a rental store in texas. Actually, it is selling here at my rental store also.

I'm viet so I'm not sure where you can get the cantonese version. You've tried searching some of those online video stores?

Yeah, but they only have the 70's version NOT the 90's version available.
