As Mr. Temu is not updating us abt some Indo movie anymore, let me try to propose some Indonesian movies:

    "Eiffel I'm in Love"

I havent watched it, but it's such a great hit that it's even re-released in the cinema in an extended version. BTW, I heard it's exported to Malaysia n Aussie as well.

    "Arisan"

A story abt friendship among 3 young professionals in JKT. Each of them tried to hide their weaknesses and finally found that their true friendship enable them to accept themselves. It's so funny!!!!! And yet it's so hnest in depicting lifestyle in JKT...
PS: it has some homosexual content, so it's not for children.

"Biarkan Bintang Menari" = "Let the Stars Dance"

About a childhood romance that turns into journey to find ourselves. The main actress is the one that also played in AADC (one of Temu's recommended movie).
    BTW, it's a comedie musicale.

    back w/ a vengeance ^_^

If you are looking for a laugh, Arahan, a Korean film might be a choice. The movie is kinda senseless, but it still had moments

the Japanese version (which is i think the original version) is much more weirder ... especially because it is a musical!! it's titled Happiness of the Katakuris (it's a Takeshi Miike's film ... if my memory serves me rite!!).

Dark Water, Ringu 2, and some other Japanese horror flicks are sometimes good.

Last Life in the Universe, a Thai-Japan production. One of those artsy movies where they sit around more than they talk, but its really good. About a Japanese guy and a Thai girl running away from things and finding themselves. Drama.

6ixtynin9, a Thai production. About this woman who is accidently delivered a ton of money and has to deal with the consequences. Dark humor.

    A Boring Story

A 5-minute short film made with practically zero budget. Filmed in a certain university. Directed by a Malaysian and written by his New Yorker pal. Download it here, it's only around 9mb. Quicktime format.

The house where she lives is beautiful. I love Christopher Doyles cinematography.
All that's needed to say have been said, why say anything more? The man is drunk, why stay any longer?....

    MEMORIES OF MURDER

One of the best murder-mystery movies of all time. The movie was based on real cases of about 10 brutal raped murder cases that happened around Hwa-Seong, Gyeong Gi Province, South Korea from 1986-1991. The actual cases had never been solved in real life and the case was closed. The movie moved along these lines and provided us with documentary scene by scene shots, without failing to follow the real events. The cinematography and direction was excellent, as well as the script which was solid. The two lead actors provided the movie with tensions and conflicts of different approaches in investigating the crime scenes, but yet there were mutual and beneficial cooporation to make the chemistry worked. The soundtrack was flawless and intensified the visual drama with the necessary mood to carry movie throughout. Not to mention, the light comedy inserted along the 2-hour long movie enhanced it further. Thus, even if we already know the ending, the movie did not fail to deliver at all.

In fact, this is one of the best murder-mystery movies I've seen so far. It holds its ground against movies like Seven, Silence of the Lamb, etc.
