Well, you know that I'm a big Wallace shipper. None of his co-stars have ever drawn me enough to ship with Wallace. If I had to choose one, I think I would choose Sun Fei Fei because she looks the prettiest. I haven't watched Nei Xian or Rose Martial World though, so I don't know how good their chemistry is.

Well, Rose Martial World and Nei Xian are both boring dramas, but I do think SFF looks really cute with Wallace. In Nei Xian, Wallace and SFF didn't have much interaction as that drama had almost no romance. In Rose Martial World, they were cute together, but Wallace's character didn't like SFF's character so that was bummer. If his character actually loved her character, then I think they would be even cuter. You should talk to tweety about Wallace and SFF's chemistry. She loves this couple and thinks their chemistry rocks.
Aww I miss seeing double-Wallace. I need to rewatch this in full to satisfy myself lol
Oh, and I know this will come as a total surprise, but *gasp* I am a Wallace-shipper! haha
So I just watched the first episode... I am so lost! I have a whole bunch of questions for you guys :P
What was Rong Chu working on in England? It has something to do with the Japanese or something?
And Li Xin Hong was talking about disposing something?
And Yang Mu Chi's mom is a badass boss that was trying to kidnap Rong Chu right?
The Rong family's daughter is part of some secret organization?
Near the end, Li Xin Hong was talking to the secret informant. What were they talking about?
My understanding of Chinese is very limited so I found it really hard to keep up with. And they bombarded us with a whole bunch of characters. They have descriptions on the screen but my Chinese 1 class can only get me so far
Btw I found it quite funny that Shen Jia Ping in Too Late to Say I Love You has turned into the Da Shao Ye in this drama
I'll try my best to answer. Don't give up on the drama yet. The first episode is really confusing because the story line is really complex. It's really good, I promise!
A'Chu got his PhD in biology or something under Professor Hermann, who created this bioweapon called Lei Ting Ji Hua (Sound of Thunder Mission). Both the Japanese and Chinese want this bioweapon. What was Rong Chu working on in England? It has something to do with the Japanese or something?
I think she wanted to get rid of A'Chu because she thought that he was working with the Japanese on the Lei Ting Ji Hua.And Li Xin Hong was talking about disposing something?
Yes, she's actually the Japanese leader and is trying to obtain Lei Ting Ji Hua.And Yang Mu Chi's mom is a badass boss that was trying to kidnap Rong Chu right?
Rong Hua is a communist, who is also trying to get Lei Ting Ji Hua. Basically, the Communists, Nationalists and Japanese are all working against each other. The Rong family's daughter is part of some secret organization?
Li Xin Hong has a secret informant, whose identity you will find out later. Basically, she is part of the Communist cell in Shanghai, but she's giving information to Li Xin Hong, a Nationalist.Near the end, Li Xin Hong was talking to the secret informant. What were they talking about?
Haha, I agree, it's like their roles were completely reversed. Now its Shen Jia Ping's time to get angry and throw things around while Wallace tries to calm him down. Hehehe.Btw I found it quite funny that Shen Jia Ping in Too Late to Say I Love You has turned into the Da Shao Ye in this drama

Yea, but the actor who plays Shen Jia Ping doesn't look as hot as Wallace does when he throws a tantrum and breaks stuff. On the other hand, Murong Feng/Wallace is just so sexy and masculine when goes off in a rage.
Oh, I found a new fan-made MV on Imminent Crisis. It's so poignant. Don't watch it if you haven't seen Imminent Crisis yet because the MV contains spoilers for the ending!

Hahaha, true. No one can look as sexy and masculine as Wallace when throwing a tantrum, he's got it down to a tee.

It's such a good mv! But the ending was so surprising I had to go back and watch it again. Now I want a second round of Yi Chu Ji Fa. Wallace just looks so hot in the action scenes!
I just realized that A'Chu's voice actor is the same one that dubbed his Murong Feng. His voice is so much more pleasing to the ears than A'Ci's voice, which sounds really gravelly and scratchy.

Thank you xia0yuer for answering my questions! I was seriously lost during the first episode but I've found my way during the second and third episode Yay!
But what's with the whole twins thing? A'Ci and A'Chu's mom has a "twin" and their uncle was also similar to their dad. And I found it really funny how A'Chu's sister just outright told him that she's not his "mom", but his sister.
Overall, I really like the interactions between A'Chu and He Ya Shu. They're so cute! I laughed when she keeps telling A'Ci to say "I love you" and he replies that she's been training him to say it since they were young.
Wallace in military uniform and tux = So much eye candy~
When I imagine Wallace in military uniform going off in rage, my heart just sighs with adoration. How is it possible that I am so enamored of Wallace? My last craze over an actor lasted 8-9 years, until he was replaced by Wallace Chung.
Actually, I didn't quite understand the MV's ending. Can you explain? It's such a good mv! But the ending was so surprising I had to go back and watch it again. Now I want a second round of Yi Chu Ji Fa. Wallace just looks so hot in the action scenes!
I'm already going back to watch Yi Chu Ji Fa a second time. I think I'm going to buy the dvd for this series, too! I'm so in love with Wallace!
Hmm... Really? I didn't know Murong Feng and Ah Chu had the same voice actor! I need to go back and listen closely to Ah Chu and Ah Ci's voices to see if Ah Ci's voice is indeed gravelly and scratchy! I didn't notice it the first time around, but I think it was because I was too engrossed with staring dreamily at Wallace. I mean, who cares what he's saying or what his voice sounds like when I can just stare at him in every scene, right?I just realized that A'Chu's voice actor is the same one that dubbed his Murong Feng. His voice is so much more pleasing to the ears than A'Ci's voice, which sounds really gravelly and scratchy.
Yay! I'm so excited that you're loving the series, like we do! Please stop by here and discuss the series as you watch more episodes. We'll let you lead the conversation because we don't want to unintentionally give you spoilers.
I think Ah Ci and Ah Chu's dad and uncle are identical twins, whereas the Japanese woman who is impersonating their mom got plastic surgery to look like their mom.But what's with the whole twins thing? A'Ci and A'Chu's mom has a "twin" and their uncle was also similar to their dad. And I found it really funny how A'Chu's sister just outright told him that she's not his "mom", but his sister.
Yup, I love Ya Shu and Ah Chu, too! Which episode are you on? You'll start loving Ah Ci, too, once you get further into the story. But regardless, I still love Ah Chu's brighter, more humorous personality.Overall, I really like the interactions between A'Chu and He Ya Shu. They're so cute! I laughed when she keeps telling A'Ci to say "I love you" and he replies that she's been training him to say it since they were young.
I hope Wallace is filming something right now, because we're all going to be in bad Wallace withdrawal if he doesn't!Wallace in military uniform and tux = So much eye candy~

lol, I still think it would have been better if they used another song ^^
genna
Ahhh! Thanks for all those dreamy Wallace pics from Yi Chi Ji Fa! My favorite one is the one with Ah Chu perched on the edge of the tabletop while he holds Ya Shu in his arms. Ah Chu looks very manly and dashingly romantic in the pic as he gazes deep into the fair maiden's eyes.
Gosh, you should make a poster with all those wonderful pics!
I love it! The song is a bit modern for the drama but i think it gives off the right mood. Also, genna, thanks for all the wonderful new pics!!!
Who was your last actor craze? Just wondering who is amazing enough to earn your devotion for 8-9 years.
SPOILER AHEADActually, I didn't quite understand the MV's ending. Can you explain?
I think he meant that last phrase to be a lead in to a potential sequel where A'Chu finds out that A'Ci didn't actually die. It was definitely A'Ci's voice that said that last phrase "Brother, I've returned." Ohhhhh, my heart still hurts when I think about poor A'Ci.

Hahaha, I noticed that they had different voice actors right from the beginning because A'Ci's scratchy voice kind of bothered me. When I went back to rewatch some scenes from TLTSILY, I realized that A'Chu and Murong Feng had the same voice actor. In PTSX, Guan Houpu's voice also bothered me because his voice actor was the one that usually voices over Mickey He's characters. I think A'Chu's voice actor is my favorite, I just love the sound of his voice.

Yeah, I think the song is too modern and I guess I just don't really like the song to begin with. lol... I am glad that they decided to use Wallace's song though. He really should sing theme songs more often. ^^
Melanie, thanks for sharing the MV btw! Gah, brings back so much memories! I am definitely going to watch the drama again tonight during the ride to Seattle xD

The song is called Black, sung by Wallace Chung and Jimmy Lin.
Here are some more MVs using the same song.

Gilbert Lam. I fell so deeply in love with him after seeing him play the incredibly suave, dashing, but evil villain in Heroine of the Yangs. I still love him, but his #1 spot has been usurped by Wallace Chung. Gilbert Lam is one of the male leads in my main fanfic story.Who was your last actor craze? Just wondering who is amazing enough to earn your devotion for 8-9 years.
Here are some MVs on Gilbert Lam. Ah, watching the MVs is making me fall in love with him all over again! In case you haven't noticed, I tend to fall for bad boys/villains. Is it any wonder that I made SCN a bad boy?

Man, I really wish they would bring Ah Ci back if there is going to be a sequel! It just wouldn't be the same if Wallace couldn't talk to himself.
I was actually ok with the voice actor for Guan Houpu. I think he's the same voice actor for Wallace's character in Nei Xian. He has a bit of nasal quality to his voice. Also, from the trailers, I think he's going to be the voice actor for Wallace's Fu Hongxue in Horizon, Bright Moon, Saber. I do agree that the voice actor for Murong Feng is slightly better.Hahaha, I noticed that they had different voice actors right from the beginning because A'Ci's scratchy voice kind of bothered me. I wonder why they don't use the actors' own voices, like TVB does. I understand that it's better to use voice actors for actors like Wallace, who speaks Mandarin with an accent, but what about actors whose native language is Mandarin and speak the language fluently?

^ Oh, Gilbert Lam! I remember seeing him in a lot of TVB series. He's a pretty good host. lol, I've liked so many different actors, I can't even keep count. xD
I don't know, but I've noticed that actors with a heavy Beijing accent tend to not get dubbed. lolI wonder why they don't use the actors' own voices, like TVB does. I understand that it's better to use voice actors for actors like Wallace, who speaks Mandarin with an accent, but what about actors whose native language is Mandarin and speak the language fluently?
Anyway, Zhang Jie is the voice actor that has dubbed most of Wallace's dramas. He did 'Bu Ru Tiao Wu', TLTSILY, 'Huo Xian Zhui Xiong', Ah Chu in 'Yi Chu Ji Fa' and the upcoming 'Tian Ya Ming Yue Dao'. I also like his voice, I'm so used to hearing it now. The voice for Ah Ci was not bad, the voice actor was Zhang Zhen Pei and he also did 'Kangxi Mi Shi'.
I haven't watched TVB series except for the really old 1980s versions of some wuxia dramas so I don't recognize him.
Me too, but I don't know how they could make it believable. I mean, he was blown to smithereens...spoiler

It's much cheaper to get voice actors to do the dubbing that paying the actual actors the extra hours needed to dub. I think that may be the main reason they hire voice actors.
