    Default Chinese soft power

    http://www.koreaherald.com/national/...20120520000307

This article pretty much sums up my thoughts on Mainland China. A 4,000 year old culture with a ruling party that can't stop acting and reacting like a 13 old kid telling everyone else that they're wrong and refusing to see that they can also be wrong. The Commie Party makes me embarrassed to call myself Chinese.

lol, wait I thought you identify with Taiwanese
We all know South Korea is biased. North Korea would provide much more reliable and factual reporting.

I'm not Taiwanese nor am I a Commie. But you should see how pissed off the folk from the Mainland get when I say I was born in Taiwan instead of saying China. The folk from Taiwan just look a bit confused when I say I'm Chinese and find out I'm from Taiwan.

I suppose Ai Weiwei's sentiment says it best:

    http://in.reuters.com/article/2012/0...84S04D20120529

It's at the end when the interviewer asks him if he'd consider leaving China like Chen Guancheng. He replied:

"I will never leave China, unless I'm forced to," he said. "Because China is mine. I will not leave something that belongs to me in the hands of people I don't trust."

As embarrassing as they make it, I will never stop identifying myself as Chinese. I refuse to leave in the hands of people I don't trust to determine what it is to be Chinese.

99%+ of the Chinese people is better than Ai Weiwei. At the very least, they don't get into trouble with the authority like the way he does.
